You might want to think about upgrading the version of PMWiki that GBPVR uses for the wiki. There is a known security hole in versions prior to 2.1.21. I believe the wiki site is still on 2.0beta29.
I'll bet I'm just blind, but of the screensavers I've seen, I don't think I have seen the feature: automatic screen saver if video/recording paused on MVP for or PC for a certain time...
I'm using ZProcess. Using MVP. Wanting to play AVI. Calls ffmpeg to transcode. ZProcess is pretending to be ffmpeg. It starts a transcode process with the real FFMPEG (renamed to fmpeg). If I try to cancel the Transcode with the MVP, ZProcess (ffmpeg.exe) is forced closed, and the fmpeg transcode process continues to run. That's why I have also written 'Hunter.exe' which is also spawned when the transcode process is spawned. It watches both fmpeg and ffmpeg's TaskIds, and if one closes, Hunter closes the other. (then exits) In that way, if I cancel a transcode with the MVP, and GB-PVR forces closed ffmpeg, hunter also forces closed the spawned transcode process...
It was all working fine and dandy a while ago, because Hunter was cycling through and checking Window titles... but in order to allow for multiple instances of ZProcess and Hunter I switched to having Hunter search for ZProcess(ffmpeg.exe) TaskID.
This works fine in any other way that I call ZProcess, even from the transcode menu in the video plugin...
What happens is GB-PVR forces ZProcess closed, Hunter still thinks the TaskID exists. Task Manager says it's not there, but even if I start a fresh instance of hunter to check the supposed taskid of the ZProcess window that isn't there anymore, it says that it does exist...
This behaviour ceases once I restart the MVP Server. It would seem somehow that the MVP Server is holding the taskID open, or active, or reserved, when TaskMananger even thinks it's not there...
I am using GBPVR v9808 but am getting an oddity with the VMR9 render that I can't seem to solve. I have various Xvid encoded avi's that have a 640x352 size. Giving a 20:11 ratio. So I have GBPVR set to Fill mode but for some reason it always starts the file unstretched at the correct aspect ratio (so it looks scrunched on the screen).
If I then cycle the modes using F7 (which I wish I could do via the remote) then when I return to Fill mode being properly stretched over the screen. Any idea on what I am doing wrong to cause this? Curiously the VMR 9 Custom render path doesn't do this but I can't use it because it tears on playback.
I am assuming I have got some idiot setting with my codecs somewhere but am at a loss as to what it is...
While trying to make sure everything was just right and my install was clean I noticed some errors in my gbpvr.exe.log
I wasn't able to figure all of them out by myself and errors persisted so I blew the install away and did a fresh clean install of GBPVR. Still there are errors.
No extra skins, plugins, or anything else installed. Just GBPVR and the following errors are in the logs.
10/6/2006 6:30:35 PM.421 ERROR [1] Unable to find node: /settings/SpecialElements/SpecialElement[@name="ForegroundTransparency"]

Logfile is attached.
Any ideas on what is causing these errors and how I can get rid of them?
Hello All,
Please can anyone help with this problem. I'm using gbpvr with an mce remote. I've been through the laborious process of mapping all the keys through HIP and the remote works perfectly within gbpvr.
But I can't get HIP to change the channel on my STB, it seems to learn from the telewest remote but when testing it doesn't change the channel. I completed the mapping and tried within gbpvr livetv but, of course, no joy there either. I can see the IR blaster blipping away but no reaction from the STB. I know I've got the bug in the right place as I used to use MCE2005 (until a tv error screwed my hdd hence the search for an alternative).
I really like GBPVR and all it's plugins/skins etc and it seems to be a great community too. I'm soooo close but without the pvr function I'm going to have to go back into the M$ fold.
I'm hoping it's just a secondary command or something similar that needs adding. BTW I'm in the uk in case that makes a difference.
