What would casue GB-PVR to give a slow response to a command? Im talking about when, you say, change a setting in the config file and click "OK" to save it. It seems that every time i press "OK" to save something it takes about 20-25 sec for it "to take". I use the remote, keyboard, and the mouse and all give slow repsonses.
This happens even after a reinstall of GBPVR.
Im beginning to wonder if it is a lack for RAM (only 256 MB) that's causing this. I wanted to post this before i left to work and send logs but didnt get a chance. I can upload logs tonight if need be.
I'm new to GB-PVR and having issues with my setup. Here is the background on my setup. Over the summer my mobo died (capacitors) had a 1700xp. I upgraded to a athlon 3000 64, but did not do a fresh windows install. I am running 2000pro. Over the weekend I plan to re-install windows and would like to know the correct order for installation of software ect. I have a PVR-150 and an MVP. I haven't tried to use the MVP yet. I have successfully recorded using the software from the PVR, but I cant get GB to record or view live tv. I get a message something like "actively refused by host machine". I may have installed GB before the capture card was functional, should I remove and re-install?
I am seeing regular issues where this error message occurs before scheduled recordings. The only thing that I see where I can fix it is to reboot the system. Do you have any suggestions?
So I'm very excite about breathing some new life into an old Hauppage MVP that I have.
I have nstalled GB-PVR on a Windows 2000 Server I have (of course, after installing .Net2, DirectX9b and MDAC2.6).
However, I keep getting the following errors when lauching the config tool:
Error 1:
Error loading plugin: System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteException: SQLite error
no such table: CUSTOM_TASK_SETTINGS
at System.Data.SQL.SQLITE3â¦â¦., etc
Error 2:
Microsoft .NET Framework
Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.
SQLite error
No such table: CUSTOM_TASK_SETTINGS
It let's me continue into the config tool, but any changes I make in the config are not saved as I get the following error everytime I click OK in the config UI.
Error 3:
GB_PVR COnfiguration
Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

It seems it can't find the SQLite database. Do I need to install this myself or do some configuration for SQLite. FYI, I don't have any record for SQLite listed in Windows ODBC Data Source Administrator.
I am trying get the postprocessing.bat file to transcode a video and move it to another folder ONLY if it is a certian show. I know people have mentioned here before about using the IF command in batch files. I have spent the last few days reading articles on the web and experimenting with it, but cant get anything to work.
I seem to get either nothing to pass the IF, or everything passes it.
can somebody that has got something like this working please post the commands so I can see what a working IF looks like??
(or any similar command if you dont use IF)
My recording service crashes on a regular basis, at least once a day. I have elimnated some of the causes like McAfee Antivirus etc but now I seem to be getting pretty much the same error every time. It is a fatal unhandled exception with about the same details in the log every time. I have attatched a couple log files that show this error.
I'm sure I am doing something stupid...after my install of newest version all of my config settings were lost. So I'm betting that I did not reset something up correctly. But after changing my epg update settings to update at 2am and to get 8 days worth of stuff it seemed to have done it one day (9/28/06) but then none of the rest of the days until I did it by hand today. I'm attaching the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log. The wife is not too happy that I missed recording McDreamy...whatever that is

gbpvr knows through the epg which category the recorded file has.
Is it possible to auto create this category folder and add it to the command line for recording.
Examples:
The movy Rambo is an Action film. Gbpvr creates at start of a recording a folder with the name "Actionfilm" , and records all upcoming action films to this folder.
Hi, I recently got the above remote and i am having problems getting it to work in gbpvr! I have connected the IR Blaster that came with the device and it shows up in the device manager. What am i doing wrong?
At the moment i have no tv signal running through the pc as im having probs with the tuner as well (different thread) but even so the remote lights up when i press any of the buttons and the light on the IR Blaster flashes to show its recieving the signal but nothing happens on screen when gbpvr is loaded! I have checked the settings over and over again....unles i missed something.
