Looking for some help please on the intermittent issue I have with NextPVR.
My setup is:
Windows Server Essential 2016, running NextPVR v5.0.7.200726
HDHomerun Quattro for Freeview
Nvidia Shield running Kodi 18.7 and NextPVR add-on.
Every now and again, about weekly but no fixed pattern, I have problems such that Kodi is unable to stream live TV. Playback of recorded TV is fine though I think ongoing/upcoming recordings fail.
Restarting the NextPVR service will generally fix this though usually fails again within an hour or so. The only way to successfully recover for a prolonged period is to reboot the server.
I did have v4 on here previously and had some trouble uninstalling it, eventually had to resort to deleting the v4 program directory. Incremental updates to v5 have installed fine.
The NPVR web GUI shows "Root element is missing" next to failed recordings.
Dear all been avid user of tvheadend for a while but just had enough of tv channels going array I have installed nextpvr on A headless Linux machine which has 4 Pci DVB -s2 cards in mainly montage technology ds3000 and conexant 24117 however none of the devices show up can anyone help with this as tvheadend shows them.
Ps I haven’t uninstalled tvheadend yet as I want to prove that nextpvr works first
Hello,
my nextpvr runs on a pi4. i only find m3u with rtp:// addresses for my iptv provider (magentatv) on the internet. With tvmosaic, vnc or tvheadend i can get m3u running. when i import m3u into nextpvr no channels are found. does anyone have an idea? Greetings Stephan
After lengthy research I successfully installed NPVR 5.0.7 along side NPVR 4.2.4. Version 5 is up & running. The desktop app works and I can watch live TV with it, as well as schedule & record shows and watch them back too.
The web app is another story. If I try to watch live TV, the screen remains black and there is no audio. I am able to schedule and record shows, and even watch them via the web app. It is live TV that is the problem. Any suggestions? I can provide logs, if needed, later this evening when I am home.
If I have merged the same channel with differing feeds and one of the channels goes off line, will the other channel become active and take over? This could apply to while the channel is playing and upon initial selection of the channel?
hauppauge WinTV-HVR-935C-HD with dvb-c, dvb-t and analog, connects through a dedicated usb-port on the back of the motherboard and genuin copy of windows 10.
The analog part is not shown at all in the software its like it doesnt exist, dvb-c shows but when scanning for channels it only finds 10 of 17 channels.
This happens with both nvpr v4 and v5, the crappy software hauppauge supplied loads analog channels just fine and finds all digital channels as well.
I have Nvpr v4 Installed on my windows 10 machine, and almost everything is great. I have 70+ channels analog cable and ATSC mixed. All look and sound good except one. Channel 21, cable, has static on the audio. The signal is not at fault, it comes from a splitter that feeds my Wife's TV and her audo is perfect on 21. I am actually amazed at how good the audio is on some of my other cable channels, some with booming stereo. But the Devil is in 21, and its exasperating. I have tried every combination in decoders, using all lav filters, etc. I'm wondering if there is a way to fine tune the frequency of that channel, it sounds like an old radio slightly out of tune. Uploaded log file. Thanks.
