Any way to control channels listings?
Posted by: gkar - 2006-08-03, 11:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi.
I am attempting to list my channels' configuration to a custom -free channels first, followed by Sky, then S-Video.
I first installed only the free ones but once I incorporated the Sky channels they went directly to the top of the listing in GB-PVR config.
Is there any way to control this? As my maximum display res is only 800x600 (SDTV & native res projector) & it is a pain having to scroll to see my preferred viewing/capture channels.
PS. couldn't find anything with a wide 'TV tuner' search.

  Skin Transparency Effects
Posted by: Digital712 - 2006-08-03, 11:20 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (3)

I've been putzing around trying to create my own skin and I was wondering if I can add transparency effects like in the program description in this screenshot:

I know I could use a transparent JPG, but is there an easier way by using an option for DrawRoundedRect or another command?

Thanks,

Tony

  New CPU / High Temp
Posted by: JonnyCam - 2006-08-03, 10:02 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (8)

Hey,

Just installed a new Celeron D 3 Ghz in a test case, with new MB - and the cpu temp was sitting in the bios at about 65 deg.

The heat sink didnt seem to be very hot (cool enoiugh to touch)- so would the issue be with the temp sensor - or have I not contacted the heatsink onto the cpu correctly?

Thanks

  Syetem specs and HD
Posted by: wannabepvr - 2006-08-03, 09:32 PM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

Much to my suprise my system seems to work ok for HD.

I recorded, payed back and watched some live 1440x1088i and apart from running hotter than usual (higher CPU load) it seems happy.
I never planned for HD as there was little point on a 68cm (26") CRT TV!

Just thought I would share.Wink

Specs are:

Cel2.53 (socket478), 512RAM, FX6200, 200g + 300g HDDs. Twinhan DVB-T x 2.
I was using DVR-MS the MUX

  Big Love Ep 2

Any one have this? It a fit of cleaning some space up of the harddrive - I...uh removed it.

It's good to see even with something as useful as GBPVR people can still screw up more than the software.

Pm me if you can help....cheers.

  TV Guide color code reset?
Posted by: dreamscape - 2006-08-03, 08:08 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

is there anyway to remove any, and all references to a tv guide color code?

I was fiddling with the options the other day, thinking I might like my guide to be color coded, however, I was wrong, and tried turning it back to normal the following day.

basically, i changed about 10 different genre's to 10 different colors, changed my mind, then set them back to what they were before. but now they're just black, now "blank" like the others are, how can i get them set back to normal?

  TV Capture Support
Posted by: lingan - 2006-08-03, 07:46 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I'm trying to get GB PVR working on my setup. I'm trying the following at the moment and I am wondering what will work.

I have a ATI x1800XT that I want to capture video from the Video In facility. I've tried the WDM software update (although at present I have failed)

I have got a LifeView Prime 30 (can not capture from the Composite In)

Finally my Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Pro is only been seen as a DVB-T card not a analogue or a Video capture card. Any ideas?

  When the EPG doesn't load...
Posted by: bpowell555 - 2006-08-03, 07:41 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (4)

I've reloaded the EPG a couple of time and have a couple of issues:

* Not all channels get loaded - is there anything I can do to fix this? I'm using broadcast EPG on BDA HVR-900
** I've I clear the capture device and set it up again I can either get the EPG for the channels before 6 or after (abc1, BBC4) but never both?!

Any tips much appreciated, cheers. As the more guide you've got the better the whole thing is....

  Hauppauge HVR-1300, DVB-T filter missing?
Posted by: neer - 2006-08-03, 05:36 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (12)

I'm not sure if this is a GB-PVR error or if it's Windows or maybe Hauppauge driver error... Anyways, the analog part of the HVR-1300 works with the Roslyn driver, not with the HVR-1300 driver:confused: ... strange.

What is worse, the DVB-T tuner doesn't work at all. When setup in GB-PVR, I first get a message that the DVB tuner is not accessible. Then an error window comes up and wants me to end the program. I looked through the logs, and apparently a tuning filter is missing?

I should add that I haven't got the DVB to work with WinTV-2000 either, so probably a Hauppauge or Windows error.... The logs from GB-PVR is my best bet on finding an answer.:o

I'm using WinXP MCE 2005, DirectX 9.0C, the latest Hauppauge drivers and everything is updated.

Any ideas?
