I have recently installed the Video Archive plugin and I am having a problem that I am hoping someone can help with. I am hoping it is just a check box somewhere or something simple.
When I run the DVD2MPEG plugin, it runs fine and appears to finish ripping the DVD. So far I have ripped 3 movies with it. 2 were original commercial movies. The third was a backup copy made by DVD Shrink.
The first commercial movie (xXx State of the union) went without any problems.
The second commrcial movie (Smokey and the Bandit) only got 50 minutes (about half)
The third was a backup copy (Far and Away). It got about 98 minutes (about half)
Any ideas on how to fix this.
My system is a 2.6G Intel with 768 mb ram. PVR 150 card. Aside from a few minor issues everythign else seems to run fine.
Thanks for the help.
Ok, I'm ready to add a stb, I will have a dish network 301 and a dish network 2800, but I noticed that the remote changes both at the same time, (meaning that the remote control frequency's are the same) I'm assuming that one stb frequency will have to change to a different number......so the question is HOW do you alter the frequency numbers for one of these boxes?
When I upgraded it went smoothly everything is as it was. However when I changed databases It didn't seem to keep my EPG settings and I'm looking into other things. EDIT: Also my recordings, previously done and to be done.
Now to my two questions.
1. So the SQL lite Database will take care of its own junk and keep to a nice size all on its own?
2. How do I know I've successfully changed to the new database right now I'm only guessing. I know the program says complete but is there any indicator in GBPVR or its logs?
I haven't been able to get the don't record duplicates thingy working since a long time ago but I'm not offically bringingit up
I'm trying to see if I can't tackle a YouTube plugin for GB-PVR.
Forget for the moment the logistics of finding and selecting the YouTube clip you want. I'm interested in simply displaying a YouTube video within GB-PVR as close to full screen as I can.
I've gone through the basic GB-PVR plugin tutorial, and I have some experience with .NET programming, so I'm not a total newbie here. Here's what I've discovered:
It's possible to display a webpage (given a URL) within a form (I'm not sure how exactly). It's also possible to get a "full screen" YouTube URL from a given video (see: this and this for example).
So, I'm thinking the easiest method is to combine these two, and whal-la: YouTube in GBPVR. Here's the problem: I'm not sure what class (if any exists) that lets me embed a 'web browser' object in the form, and I'm not sure how to then stick that object on the canvas in the render() function (or if I should be sticking it somewhere else somehow).
I posted this same question on tIhe zap2it forum, but i thought it would be prudent to post it here as well since so many of you use zap2it and there is more traffic on these forums.
I currently reside in one of my university's dorms and our TV connection is rather unique. At first I thought it was cable, since we had to hook up a cable from the wall and plug it into our tv. After we had a rather large storm I found out our school does something to convert directv into cable (I noticed that "searching for signal on satellite" error). I've been wracking my mind trying to figure out a way to set up channels to record using my PVR in this situation. For instance, instead of TNT being channel 245, it's channel 57.
I can't figure out what to do, or if it's even possible to do it. Is there a fully customizable schedule that allows you to select which station coincides with each channel? (For instance, instead of TNT being channel 245, i'd like to set it up manualy to be channel 57)
