Changing Databases?

Hello I have a two questions and one observation.

When I upgraded it went smoothly everything is as it was. However when I changed databases It didn't seem to keep my EPG settings and I'm looking into other things. EDIT: Also my recordings, previously done and to be done.


Now to my two questions.

1. So the SQL lite Database will take care of its own junk and keep to a nice size all on its own?

2. How do I know I've successfully changed to the new database right now I'm only guessing. I know the program says complete but is there any indicator in GBPVR or its logs?


I haven't been able to get the don't record duplicates thingy working since a long time ago but I'm not offically bringingit up

I'm pretty sure that I have done it successfully, when I deleted (or moved) shows from the Dirve next time I went into recordings it didn't say missing they were gone. Unless thats a new feature of GBPVR its self.

However the only thing that still bugs me a bit is that lets say I update a reoccuring recording it does not update thoes instances already in the list to be recorded.

It says it in the logs. If its using SQLite it'll say <DatabaseProviderFactory>System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteFactory</DatabaseProviderFactory> somewhere in your config.xml file.

I'm not really sure what you're saying here. If you delete a recordings video file from disk, next time you go into the recordings screen it automatically detects the file is missing, assumes you've manually deleted it, then quietly deletes the recordings. This isnt new.

Thanks Sub, I'll check my logs I'm try to lick the web service problem first. I've never had GBPVR notice that shows on the disk were deleted (by me outside the program) before, but then again I've been using an old version. I'll look for the thread about update instances when I have the time. Right now my net connection is down at home and I've brought my box to work to update the EPG there are perks working in it.
