Any of you lovely people know of a good C# / .net forum? One where you can ask questions, swap ideas/code etc.
Reason I'm asking is that I've started work on updating the Files plugin. I'm using the nice and simple File.Copy() method to copy files. Is there a way of getting feedback when the file has been copied? Any Ideas?
sub i found a little bug, or well strange behaviour,
if the playlist is paused.
so pluginHelper.IsPlaylistPaused() returns true,
if the user hits the "play" command, gbpvr will automatically unpause the playlist and STILL pass the play command to the plugin.
i was trying to use this check (as the first check) in the onkeydown method
Code:
if (cmd == Settings.KeyMappings.Main.Play)
{
if (pluginHelper != null && pluginHelper.IsPlaylistPaused())
{
pluginHelper.ResumePlaylistPlayback();
return true; //(ive handled it)
}
}
so then if music was playing back the user "hit" play on an album, it would stop the current one and play the new one.
however since gbpvr automatically resumes playback, that inital check never happens, and pluginHelper.IsPlaylistPaused() returns true. so in my code if you hit play, even if it was paused it would be stopped and new album played.
ie theres no way to only play if the playlist isnt paused.
i can *fix* it by saying if music is playing back, just dont do anything with the play button, but then i cant let the user "shortcut" to "stop current album and play this one".
in chance of changing this so its left up to the plugin to resume the playlist? or would that be a PITA to change?
this bug was bugging me, i wasnt sure where it was failing, i thought it was something in my code that was resuming it and then starting a playlist.
I have a pvr150 with Hauppauge blaster. As far as I can see it is configured correctly within the Hauppauge config ie it has the correct code for my pace box. When I set up and tested it, the hauppauge config was able to switch the digibox on and off and change channels.
The problem I have is that within GBPVR whilst GBPVR will change and record the correct channel if the digibox is on, it will not switch the digibox on and change the channel if the digibox has been switched off or reset.
This tool is designed to download the Channel Logo Icons and match the logos with the channel names in your GBPVR Database and then publish them to the Media/ChannelLogos folder. Once some Logos had been matched with Channels, the tool allows you to examine your current logos against the new logos you have downloaded.
Tutorial :-
Start CLT
Select your Icon source (I suggest LyngSat website) (it takes a minute to download the website)
Select your country (again it takes a minute to dowload the graphics from the site)
Select a temporary folder for the downloaded icons
Select Preprocessing (this attempts to match the icons to the channel names)
On the Logo Matching, Select the channel and the matching logos for the channel will be displayed, the first is the temp downloaded source, the second is the GBPVR Logos.
Match up your logos and when your done press Export.
Changes : v3.40
I've add a Microsoft prerequisits install, which you need to run before you run CLT for the first time.
I've also added :-
Support for JPG and all other images file formates
OpenFileDiaglog now opens with thumbnails pre selected
Added Progress bar down image download
Converted to .NET 2.0 browser support (hence the need for the prerequisits file)
Added support for SQLite, - Thanks to Martynw for spotting this...
Upgraded to .NET 2
Database selection from config.xml
Fixed bmp download bug in with IE control.
Changes : 3.01
I've fixed the errors that ShinningDragon reported - Thanks very much
Changes : v3.0
More Fixes to add stability etc,
Added support for currently installed logos in the GBPVR directory
I'm going to be purchasing a new TV Tuner card for my new computer I will be building in a couple months. I wanted to try out GBPVR with my ATI 9600 to see if I liked it, as I was considering purchasing SageTV or BeyondTV, but heard about this.
I will be buying BeyondTV by the end of the day tomorrow since there is a good rebate going for it that expires then, unless I can finally get this GBPVR working with my ATI All in Wonder 9600 so I can test it and see how it works. I wanted to get it to work, and also hopefully get it to work with my ATI Remote Wonder. Right now, my card is not listed under anything, including Capture source or anything, I have all of the ATI Drivers loaded on for my card, and am able to use BeyondTV or any other software with it fine, so I know its setup right.
I have looked through the forum and have not found any instructions that would benefit me.
I was wondering if someone could help me configure the settings for it. I really want to be able to try this out before I decide to purchase other software later tomorrow night.
Can anyone help I have installed My Programs plugin and am using it to run ePSXe. By the way works fantastic. I do not have a keyboard on my system and always use the remote. When I want to exit ePSXe you use the ESC key but my remote wont work with it. Even when I make a specific remote config for ePSXe. Is this the way My Programs launches ePSXe or is it actually the emulator not allowing me to use the remote. My remote is the DVICO remote.
I set GBPVR to record The Closer tonight. I even verified that it was recording (Show status).
After it was done, I tried to play the file. Nothing happens. So I look at the file in windows explorer. The file is 0 bytes. I thought well maybe it's buffered and hasn't written to disk, but 10 minutes later - nothing. I even tried to copy the file, the copy was 0 bytes as well. So I rebooted, and the same 0 byte file.
No errors or anything in the logs.
Anyone ever have this happen? I'd like to know what I did wrong so this won't happen again. The wife is really upset she missed her show .
All the current music modules seem to be dependent on wmp directshow based playback. Much better sounding bit perfect playback (with 44.1kHz hardware) is available via kernel streaming audio using winamp or foobar.
I am trying to pinpoint my source of dropped frames. It happens on a very regular time interval, every 8 secs approx. (sorry I haven't timed it exactly, it might be less, is there anyway how to time it?) but in between the video is fine. More details on that here:
My question is related to IRQ's. In the old days, PC's didn't like IRQ conflicts, these days it doesn't "seem" to be a problem, but I found that if I let the computer assign them autmatically, it gives many cards the same IRQ. Refer attached assignments by my PC.
Could this be a potential source of this "regular dropped frames" issue, with one card on the bus demanding time away from another card?
