Right now I'm still in the experiment phase of NextPVR.
With MythTV, multiple mount points / paths can be configured as recording directories, and then MythTV can be configured to either spread the load, most space available, etc. When it comes time to playback a recording, the MythTV database stores the name of the recording, but not necessarily the complete mount path, so if I choose to manually move a recording in the CLI from one recording directory to another, then mythtvbackend can still find it. (Because most users will have a reasonable number of mount points, it takes a fraction of a second to check each directory for the file that we're looking for)
If I create a share on my NAS, and configure the recording and LiveTV buffer directories to point at that share, then will I be able to move the existing recordings that are in the recordings subdirectory to the new mount point? Or is the NextPVR database storing the full path to the recording, so if I manually move it with "mv", that's going to break things?
During my test with manual scheduling, I manually scheduled use of all four of my tuners, 3 HDHR and 1 HDPVR. With all tuners recording simultaneously, I would expect NPVRTray.exe to report a full tree of the tuners in use but one of the HDHR tuners(tuner 0) is missing.
I have not yet tried restarting the service since I need the recordings but I have attached the log files.
Mythweb has an option where you can schedule something like "Rick and Morty", but only if the episode is "identifiable", which means that it's not an "SH"-type, and therefore has program details instead of the generic. This is useful when the provider sometimes has EPG details, and sometimes not, either because of late updates, or the schedule is still generic 14 days out. I looked at the schedule options in NextPVR, and that doesn't seem like it's an option, unless I'm just not understanding the scheduling process.
Been quite a few months and every time I try to log in remotely it doesn’t work. It’s works locally. I’m definitely accessing the correct ip address. I think it must be the port. But idk
Just wondering if there's a way to get more channel logos to show. Being in NZ, I managed to update the TVNZ1, TVNZ2 and Bravo logos, but can't get Maori TV, the +1 channels or Duke to show up, by adding them to C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\media\channels. NextPVR feeds TV to Emby and those channels show up now in Emby, but not in you're web app (Firefox). They do show up in your desktop app.
Hiya.
Today I am encountering an issue with the IPTV channels, in that they aren't playing through Kodi.
They play fine through NextPVR and if I take the URL in the Kodi log where it is timing out and put it in VLC, it will play.
I removed and re-installed the NextPVR plugin. I've not *knowingly* changed anything that may affect this. I did try the advancedsettings.xml as suggested in another thread, but that didn't work, so I removed the file (it didn't exist in the first place).
As the Kodi debug log is quite big, if you search for "http://127.0.0.1:22089/live?channeloid=237452&client=XBMC-cb0eb34e7ac343d2a288e392848e3976", that is one of the channels I tried playing
Have also included NPVR logs incase there is anything that end.
Although I can't see what I could have possibly done, I am putting this down to it somehow being a PEBCAK issue.
It almost seems like the issue I had with the Terrestrial channels, which Martin solved, but this time with IPTV!
Was trying out the manual scheduling feature of the web app and found a problem:
One can't manually enter the start time. When the dialog appears, the Data/Time entry reads 2020-0528 20:30 even when the current time is 09:40. If I type in a new time of 09:50, and click Save, a recording is scheduled but with time of 20:30. In fact, if the dialog is again invoked, the time previously typed in, 09:50, appears! But Saving this new item again shows 20:30 as the recording start time. The date/time will be set correctly if the time/date drop down is used.
Also, how does one dismiss the time/date dropdown? ESC closes the dialog, not the dropdown.
