I have installed an AVER TV hybrid card and only the digital tuner is working fine. Since I would really like to use the fm tuner also, I try to make it work with no luck.
I followed all the instructions but after installing softpvr I don't have an analogdevices.xml file in the data folder.
I created one by myself and entered the required data from the filtercheck but I am not sure this is the right procedure
so of course my analog device is not listed in the devices list
I use npvr v5 in win10. Can this be done somehow or I am wasting my time?
I am currently on Windows 7 NPVR v4.25 and I am going to migrate to Linux v5.x. Once upon a time, I read a thread that had some SQL to export the current recordings and setting out of the database, and then to import everything back into the new database. However, I can no longer find that thread. Can someone please post a link?

When you do a manual epg update in the web app, it says that you can close the window and just open epg update again to monitor progress. (or words to that effect)
Of course if the update has just finished, opening epg update again will start another update
Would it be possible to have an intermediate screen so you could see the time of last update or progress and then have the update epg button?
I edited the channel list modifying some #, now I see it modified both in setting and in NextPVR but the npvr.db3 does not highlight the changes.
Where are they registered?
I am having some trouble with my NPVR project. As mentioned previously I have created an extras device and am using VLC to encode my capture card output and pipe it into VLC. I am only coming back to this project now as I have not been able to work on it for some time.
Where previously everything worked perfectly, now NPVR5 does not seem to be triggering VLC and I get a transcoder error and no stream. I am also not getting any logs populated in the location: C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\logs. Anyone got any idea what the problem could be?
NextPVR was working a week or so ago. Since then, all recordings result in TS files that are tiny, like 5 megs. Obviously VLC can't play it. When I look at the NextPVR logs it looks like it is recording okay, but I'm not sure what is happening. I do recall doing an apt-get upgrade, so maybe that broke something.

I've been using NPVR very successfully for many years, thank you for a great application.
I have dual boot machine with Windows 10 and Arch Linux. I have recently updated NPVR to the latest V5 on W10 and it runs fine as expected.
I have also now successfully installed and have it running on Arch Linux. However, scanning finds the same number of channels but the order is shuffled. A fairly minor problem, but any suggestions on how to correct?
The attached video-clip is the recording of what appears on the PC monitor (in the clip the shift between video and audio is due only to technical causes of recording and does not affect the substance of the problem exposed).
To help understand it, I list what happens:
- I am tuned to channel 1 and everything is OK.
- I set the tuning on ch.501, and here the video is blocked: trying various solutions, I have found that clicking on "Live TV" the video gets restored.
- by clicking now on "channel +" it is OK for ch.502 and then for ch.503 …
... but then on ch.504 and 505 and 506 there is no audio and a message appears;
still looking for solutions I found that clicking on "Audio stream" and then on "ita" the audio gets restored.
The message says "You don't have a MPEG1 decoder selected" but all decoders are just selected (as highlighted in the clip)!
- going now to ch.507 is instead OK.
I still can't get my PCH A110 to access the mvpmc shared folder on Windoze 10 Pro (build 1909). I'm pulling my hair out on this one. I have been using my NMTs for 9+ years on my Win7 NextPVR installation, although as I recall I had a battle getting that share to work originally as well.
Notes:
My NMTs can and do work with NextPVR on my dying Windohs 7 Pro PC.
I have the latest v4.2.5 installed on both the dying Win7 and new Win10 machines.
I do have Kodi v18.6 and knewc add-on working with both the new and old PCs (Win7 and Win10 machines).
I've tried dozens of combinations of settings, I've lost track.
I tried with firewall turned off. I tried using REGEDIT to create a DWORD value called 'AllowInsecureGuestAuth' in HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters and set this new value to 1.
I've tried the Guest account and with user/password. 40/56 and 128bit encryption. Media sharing enabled and disabled. Public network access on and off.
After running up and down the stairs enough times to make a fitness instructor jealous, I finally moved a PCH into my office next to the Win10 box.

Does V5 have a screen saver? My system used to go to a NextPVR logo wandering around on a black screen if left at a menu screen for a few minutes. It hasn't kicked in since I moved over to V5.
