Is it possible for me to change which buttons are shown in the system plugin? (don't see it in the skin.xml) I clicked shut down the other night (over MVP) instead of standby, then wondered why it didn't wake for a recording the next day.
Hi, i am completly new about all the stuff here. acutllay ive great computer skills and so on ^^. but i dont come forward by adding this plugin to gbpvr....
Ive copied the files from the zip file gbpvr dir into the installation dir from gbpvr but i wont see it as recording source. ive tried the dbox recording plugin for tesiting propuoses and the same here.
Whats my mistake ?
I hope some of you can help me cause i think this is a great piece of software and it would be great if i could use it for watching tv wtih epg too ^^
Is there anyone around that has succeeded in getting the VBI data into a GBPVR plugin?
Why?
Final goal: create a plugin that supports PDC (Programme Delivery Control) to start/stop recordings.
But first I want to create a very simple plugin that can log the VBI data as it appears on the selected tuner/channel combination.
The 'very simple plugin' part wasn't that hard , getting the VBI data, however, is. So my question is whether anybody has some pointers for me.
My previous experience on using DirectShow was while writing capture tuner card device drivers where we were using C++ on the DirectShow API (and Kernel API). I have been writing lots of C# since, but DirectShow support for managed code is scarce to say the least. Apart from that I would rather use any API supported by GBPVR than reverting to rough Directshow.
My problem is that my Nebula PCI card doesn't find any channels with GBPVR, I know the frequenzies for two channel muxs on my location (in Finland, Pihtipudas they are 666.000 and 706.000), but I wasn't lucky enough to get 'em work. When I try to autoscan, GBPVR doesn't find anything, allthough other programs (Mediacenter, Mediaportal, Mytheatre) find 'em with no problem. I'm using BDA-drivers. Could someone give me a working sollution for my problem? Thanks in advance!
I get a slight drift in lipsync when watching either live or timeshift TV. It seems to slip slowly over maybe 15-20 mins until the audio is maybe 1 second behind (i think) the video. switching channels and back again (or ffwd for a second during timeshift) seems to bring the audio and video back in to sync, but then it starts to drift slowly out again. There's various audio and video codecs installed on my machine as well as a ffdshow option (which i normally have turned on) - but I'd prefer to know if anyone can identify the cause of the problem, and what to tweak, before I randomly start messing around with the settings. any ideas?
I'm a chaintech AV710 user and have been happily using winamp and the asio4all plugin for bit perfect music playback. The full details of this setup can be found over here http://www.htpcnews.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3616.
Basically this setup avoids the windows kmixer that resamples all your 44.1kHz sampled audio stuff (CD's, wav's mp3's and mp4/aac) to 48kHz then back agin mangling it and making it sound like crap. The process apparently does it does nasty things like "reverse byte order" according to hardcore avsforum folks. Upon hearing the difference on a decent sound system I was a convert.
The true test of bit perfect playback is the ability to play dts audio cd's or .wav files in full 5.1 glory. The bitstream passes from the source through the soundcard's spdif output unmangled by kmixer.
Back to my problem, I would like to consolidate my HTPC application setup and move to GBPVR for music playback as well. I have recently tried playing dts .wav files within GBPVR without success, the audio ending mangled and unrecognisible to my amps' spdif input.
Is there any way to achive winamp like asio playback within GBPVR ?
I wanted to be able to see the volume changes onscreen, so I installed the volume plugin found in the wiki. I followed the instructions, and I tried to restart the pvr. It encountered errors. So I decided to delete the files I added, but that made no difference. just errors now. What do I do?
I didn't see Mongoose's thread until I was pretty much finished this. But since it was finished I thought I'd post it anyway. Sorry Mongoose, didn't mean to diminish your hard work or anything.
Like Mongoose, I discovered the currently available plug-in didn't work so decided to write my own. It provides all commands for mapping to the A-F buttons as you choose and has an option to set the volume buttons to control GB-PVR's volume or the system volume.
If you try it out, let me know if there are any problems or you think my choice of buttons for certain functions is wrong.
