Error -- record two as it's happening
Posted by: ydekmekji - 2006-06-06, 01:49 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I tried to record two shows as they are already going. I get this error:

.NET Runtime 2.0 Error EventType clf20r3, P1 gbpvr.exe, P2 1.0.2344.2312, pe 33, p4 system, p5 2.0.0.0, p6 4333ae87, p7 1f2e, p81bd, p9 system.net.webexception, p10nil

In gbpvr.exe, i get a whole bunch of No Key Mapping found for: LWIN (as few last few lines that happened before it crashed)

gb pvr fails to even boot without error
Posted by: vincejr - 2006-06-05, 11:19 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

My system is a win2k sp4 box with madc and .net 2.0 installed. After installing gb-pvr i get the following error immediately (when trying to enter into config). This is a copy directly from the log file followed by text copied from a .net runtime error.

I have tried reinstalling all the packaged and the gb-pvr app from scratch.....can you offfer any suggestions??

Also, in my installed programs list, i see a macd 2.53 hotfix update that cannot be uninstalled, i guess that came from windows update but I have no idea if that is the problem.

Thanks so much for your help,
Vince

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Is It Possible For Newbie Sticky ?
Posted by: ccsnet - 2006-06-05, 11:17 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (4)

Please tell me to be quiet but I'm feeling embarised already for asking....

Would it be possible to have a quick sticky with an simple how to set up an MVP along with some screen shots & function list ?

I'm sort of trying to evaluate how it works ( I belive it replaces the Haupauge server ) before I install it on my box as I use the MVP a lot.

Although there is some ideal info on the home page for the PVR its self the MVP is not mentioned.

Feel free to delete this if you want but although I'm techy I think some thing like that would be helpfull....

Thanks in advance

Terran

How do you work the slide show in the Photo Library?

How do you work the slide show in the Photo Library? I can't figure it out. Nothing happens when I press the button. Do I have to select which photos to display? If so, how do I do that?

  Digital Newbie Question
Posted by: soccerdad - 2006-06-05, 10:20 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (7)

I just made the big jump and got Time Warner's digital service. I am not getting any movie channels, but I am getting some of their second tier stuff like SPEED channel. I have searched the forum posts and are now more confused than ever:eek: Is there a card that I can buy to record the digital programs or do I have to use the STB as my tuner and input it into my PVR150? I see DVB-T and DVB-S but am not sure if that is what I need or if that is for High Definition (which I don't have). I also saw a post about something called Cablecard which I can get from Time warner for a good price, but I don't know if there are any cards that support it:confused:

As it stands now, I will have to string very long cables or move the STB to the PC and run off the MVP. I am a little concerned with this since this will slow down the surfing.

Any comments, including your favorite card ideas would be great.

  v0.97.9 & musicbox error
Posted by: dneprrider - 2006-06-05, 10:02 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - No Replies

With the v0.97.9 upgrade all seems fine except for the musicbox plugin.

Each time I attempt to use it I get a windows error and GBPVR crashes.

The windows error messages gives the following:

system.NullReferenceException

event type: clr20r3

Anyone else see this happening.

  Please use %PROGRAMFILES%\devnz\gbpvr\ instead of c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\

Please use "%PROGRAMFILES%\devnz\gbpvr\" instead of "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\" when you post a batch file for folks to use. Not everyone's system drive is "c:".

Thank you very much for your fine work.

  SkinHelper Constructor error
Posted by: psycik - 2006-06-05, 09:15 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (5)

sub.

Been mentioned to be a couple of times with the newer versions of my MusicLibrary, that if the user has a non standard install the skin files can't be found.

I use the new SkinHelper(pluginName,"skin.xml") type contructor for all my skinHelpers now and we get the beautificallycrafted log message:

Code:
05-06-2006 16:39:24.328 VERBOSE [1] Skin file not found: C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Blue\MusicLibrary2\skin.xml 05-06-2006 16:39:24.328 VERBOSE [1] ...about to check default skin 05-06-2006 16:39:24.328 VERBOSE [1] Arrrggh!! not found there either...mayday mayday...going down.... C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Blue\MusicLibrary2\skin.xml 05-06-2006 16:39:24.328 ERROR [1] Error initializing menu plugin: C:\Programmer\devnz\gbpvr\plugins\MusicLibrary2.dll

mila06 Wrote:BUT i think that i have got something!
In the log i can see the ML2 is looking for the skin.xml and can't find it. It is looking in "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Blue\MusicLibrary2\skin.xml" but i have a danish windows and here the program-folder is called Programmer. The path have to be "C:\Programmer\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Blue\MusicLibrary2\skin.xml".

Can you have a look?

Cannot change channel on Live TV
Posted by: scottiamit - 2006-06-05, 08:54 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (20)

Hi all,
I have 2x Avermedia M150's on a 1GB RAM, 2.8GHZ P4, and when I watch live TV I cannot change the channel (the display on the screen changes and displays the name of the show playing on the other channel, but the audio and video remain on the initial channel. When I only had the first tuner configured in the config app I could change the channel fine and all worked great. When I setup the second tuner I selected the same settings as the first one (same xmltv epg file, same channel setup and same tuner selected from list), the only difference is the Capture Source Name, and the Tuner #. I also tried going into the TV Guide selecting a program and clicking Watch, the program switched to Live TV but stayed on the original channel still. In the meantime I have removed the second tuner again and all works fine again. Is there something I am missing?

Thanks in advance.
