This is my first time using XRecord. I cannot download posters. When i press Ctrl+s, it brings up the download image place. Then it tries downloading the image it says unable to connect to remote server.
I've noticed in the last few days that some of my recordings are missing the start (five minutes) of the programme. I have my recording service set to restart automatically whenever an error occurs. This happened today when recording Emerdale (for my girlfriend i hasten to add!). So I looked in the recordings folder and saw this :-
I hope that's enough information to go on. It seems to be whenever one of my freeview tuners starts recording. I have 2xPVR 250s and 3 DVB-T 90002 (all 5 are hauppauge).
DVB-T Driver version is 2.114.24090.0
PVR-250 Driver version is 1.18.21.23257
MuxChecker reports i only have MpgMux.ax (Cyberlink) version 5.0.0727
I just upgraded to 97.9 last night. Everything went well and it appears to be more stable than 97.7.
I am running into one issue now, however. I cannot get the web interface to work. I've tried logging in locally and remotely. Local login gives me errors right off and remote login gives the same error after UN/PW validation.
I am attaching all my logs along with a complete description of the web interface error. This is in a file named...gbpvrwebinterface.txt.
My plugins have been re-enabled since I still got the error when I disabled them. I've got themes running as well. Disabling thememanager didn't seem to repair the issue either.
It's a setting that I missed, I think. SUB, could you peruse the logs and let me know where I screwed up??
A friend of mine is the developer of this cool product: it's a light system (LED based) that can produce any RGB combination.
It connects to a USB and runs a tiny app that controls it.
The lights are then aimed to a back wall (behind or around the display).
In addition for the user to be able to control the light color, or atmosphere, the app can control them for you based on the image being displayed!
So it can "react" to the movie, TV or game, and "enhance" the image displayed to the wall around the TV/Monitor.
I have one system running at home. Although it does require some tweaking here and there (he's working on a more accurate color control, I guess whoever buys it will get free updates), but overall, you can get to a very cool effect:
There are several options available to purchase (a much cheaper DIY version, were there's some self-assembly involved).
I guess if there is interest within this community, we can arrange a group discount.
I have already got this guy interested in writing a GBPVR plugin to control this app (it comes with its own API, so you can do whatever you like with it), so one does not need to leave GBPVR to control it (bring it on, off, or control its main features).
Hi,
I found that mpegimport crashes with an error of invalid date-string when using Swedish date/time format. I solved the problem by changing date format during the import and then switch back again.

For some recordings that I watch on my MVP, the playback seems to sputter forward and occasionally jump back. when a recording is behaving like that, the comskip won't work and pressing the skip forward and backward are completely unpredictable... the best and can do is use the fast forward and backward options... what causes this behavior? is it the 150 drivers? is the mpg file messed up? what should I look into?
Okay, I've built quite a few computers and never had a Master Boot Record become corrupted or whatever it did.
Just to start, I have fixed the problem but am curious as to what may have caused it. I was sort of freaking out about my system dying and I didn't feel like changing one thing at a time to hunt down the problem, just wanted it fixed.
Okay, so I installed a new wireless PCI card. booted up fine. Rebooted a few minutes later and it goes to read the boot HD. Screen says "PRESS ANY KEY TO REBOOT" that's it, every time it reboots, same thing. So I double checked all the cards. SAme thing. Removed the Wireless card. Same. I had the boot drive on a PCI IDE Controller card, figured that went bad, plugged the boot drive into the master bus on the motherboard, same thing.
Put in Windows XP Bootable Install CD. I forgot to press a key to boot from CD, and windows loads right up!!!
Turns out as long as I have the bootable cd in the drive, it loads. So that's how I figured it was the MBR that was hosed. Tried the "FIXMBR" command in Windows XP repair utility, no change. Finally ran FDISK /MBR, that seems to have fixed it. New OS install and all is well.
So here's a what I know...
-Turns out the bracket on the wireless card was off center and when the screw was tightened it would pull part of the card out of the bus. Could this have fried something or hiccupped the mbr on the drive? I've straightened the bracket and the card work just fine.
- when I ran fdisk it recognized that the MBR had errors or was non-standard
- I have not tested the PCI IDE controller to know if it is bad.
- I replaced the IDE cables to the drives and threw away the old ones.
- I now have the boot drive hooked to the motherboard.
- I was running AVG free antivirus.
i know this is a whole load of info and I'm really not looking for a solution but if someone see something I did wrong that could cause this to happen again I'd like to know.
