Leadtek remote question and EPG Not Showing Data Question
Posted by: grover - 2006-06-04, 11:37 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

1. I have a Leadtek DTV1000 t, and I've configured most of it, but I'm a bit in the dark as to the remote type and how/if it can be configured.
Does anyone know the profile/type for this model?

2. My EPG has somehow corrupted itself on one computer, and wont reimport the XML TV guide. (I installed GB PVR on another computer and was able to import the same xml file successfully.)
The channels are listed, but no events, how can I force the update?

(Something seemed to go haywire on the machine yesterday after the Dugg XML TV program crashed badly, I've had to reinstall a few things, after getting cannot write to memory errors in GB PVR)

xmltv data 24 hours wrong after update
Posted by: xmann - 2006-06-04, 10:16 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

after upgrading pvr 09612 to pvr 09707 or 09709 the program guide are 24 hours wrong.

it was a clean install on a new windows xp with service pack 2 and microsoft net framework 1.1 and 2.0.

i use o2grabber to grab the xml file, if i open the xml file the data is right.

if i uninstall gb-pvr and install version pvr 09612 it is only 2 hours wrong (no problem it can be correctet in o2grabber but not 24 hours ).

please help Smile

xmann

update :

when installing 09709 over 09612 (not uninstall first) it work

  Is IRecordingSourceAspectRatio actually used?
Posted by: alibert - 2006-06-04, 10:08 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (1)

Hi,

As I'm able to receive the required aspect ratio information, I've implemented the above interface with my recording source plugin.

But it seems that the method "GetSourceAspectRatio()" is never been called during a recording or live-tv.

Is it only used for the built in recording plugins or am I missing something?

Sky TV recording advice needed please
Posted by: scobb - 2006-06-04, 06:27 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (6)

My apologies if this has been asked before, but here goes:

I'm running a high-end PC, with XP Pro, a Hauppauge PVR-500 and gbpvr. The basic operation of my PVR setup is working perfectly, but I have a problem someone might be able to suggest a solution to.

MY PVR PC is located in a study/office about 50M from my Sky Digital decoder and the TV aerial primary feed in my living room. The Sky decoder can only be controlled via the Sky remote control. My current setup "pushes" the TV signal back out from both the terrestrial channels and the Sky decoder (via the VHF/UHF frequency you can tune into to receive Sky) to aerial outlets around the house, one of which is close to my computer. So I get a really good quality signal into my Hauppauge card for all terrestrial channels and whatever Sky channel happens to be selected in the living room.

My problem is I have no idea how to get the gbpvr software to scan all the Sky digital channels from the computer and having done that, how to select and record a particular Sky channel via the gbpvr TV Guide. Currently, I have tuned the gbpvr software to the same frequency for every Sky channel and have to manually remember to select the correct channel on the decoder. This is not good, especially if you want to record more than one Sky channel overnight for example Sad .

I suppose I could get a second Sky decoder installed close to the computer, but this is an expesive option and will not be popular with my wife Wink . I'm hoping there is a simpler solution out there that I'm missing. Moving my computer down to the living room is also not an acceptable solution with my other half...

I don't know if I've explained this very well, but hopefully you can follow my ramblings and somebody might have a suggestion for my problem.

Thanks,

Simon

Hi,
I'm using Ultra VNC to remotley control my HTPC. Works great but it's slow in updating. Does anybody know of a VNC type program that is fast enough to stream video from?

I think this was nemtioned somewhere once before but I can't remember where.

Cheers...

  ComSkip Working but not 100%
Posted by: swalsh19 - 2006-06-04, 04:21 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (3)

I was wondering if anyone could help me with Comskip. It seems to work, ut then it doesn't.

It seems like it always misses one set of commercials per hour show.

Could someone show me a working batch file so I can compare to see what I have wrong.

GB-PVR config errors and app won't run
Posted by: Zato - 2006-06-04, 04:20 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Was working fine - until I replaced my Nvidia 4200ti video card with an NVidia 6200.

Now when I try to open GB-PVR it does nothing.. no error message, just nothing happens.

From the logs:

When I try to load GB PVR Config, I get this error:

Anyone seen this before?

Thanks!

  Recording Service
Posted by: OPaul - 2006-06-04, 03:35 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

The GB-PVR Recording Service is set to Automatic but it starts up anyway with Windows. Shouldn't the service only start if there is a scheduled recording?

  What is GBVRTray for?
Posted by: OPaul - 2006-06-04, 03:24 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

What's the point of GBVRTray.exe, besides being able to launch GBPVR from it? It takes up quite a bit of memory and is set to startup automatically. If I want to launch GBPVR I can just do it directly.

  Progress Bar on recording playback
Posted by: acs12798 - 2006-06-04, 01:14 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

Hi,
I installed GB-PVR and its seems great so far. I just have one problem. When i playback my recording it does not show a progress bar. Normally, I would just watch im WMP or VLC, however, i want to use the commercial skip feature, and it seems like GBPVR is my only option to view the videos that have comskip files.

I realized that when I use the intervideos decoder instead of cyberlinks or neros, the display does come up. However, I need to use cyberlink or nero because when I use intervideos the video jutters and freezes every few seconds making it extremely annoying to watch.

I guess my question is essentially, either 1)is there a way to get the intervideo decoder to work better, or 2)is there a way to get the progress bar to show up using one of the decoder decoders.

Thank you
Andrew
