Ole db problem va & x-record
Posted by: cramp - 2006-06-01, 07:55 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (1)

Hello,
I am still having some sort of problem when trying to use vides archive and x-record it’s causing gbpvr to shutdown after loading up. I can’t work out what’s going on it works well with weather, rss feed and my music, I have had errors in the log files relating to oledb and have tried a number of things to sort this out.

1. Uninstall, turn off services and re install plugging, common gbr utilities’ and gbpvruieleme.

2. Tried using different configuration settings for the pluggins.

3. Downloaded SQLite DB and ran gbpvr DB configures.

4. Loaded and run all the required add on software e.g. cuttermaran, DAEMON tools, Dmc audio imput, power DVD video decoder, Auto dvr convert, forceaspi17 and Beesweet!

I have no idea what to try next, dose anyone know what these plug-ins have to do with the oleDB or why this is happening, it’s not very nice!

Thanks in advance.

Posted by: Joel Gregoire - 2006-06-01, 06:38 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi there, I'm new to gbpvr. I plan to buy the Hauppauge PVR 500 card, even if I am running XP. I would like to know if i'll be able to record my TV shows using Divx (divx encoder is already installed on my machine) and gbpvr.

thanks JG

Want a wireless (RF) PS/2 keyboard/mouse combo for your PVR PC? CompuSmart is selling this for -$3.50 after a $15 MIR. ($4.99 + shipping + tax - $15 MIR)

**Edit: Nevermind... it was a pricing error on their website. The price is now $20 after the MIR.

  MPG Decoder Support
Posted by: rbelisle - 2006-06-01, 05:44 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

I know that in the WIKI it lists the decoders that are supported on this page (http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Config/Playback). Elsewhere I have read that GBPVR doesn't get in the way when playing back a file and will use whatever is installed. I am thinking about trying out some other decoders to see what kind of results I get, but am wondering if I need to limit my choices to the ones listed in the WIKI or can I go hog wild!

Thanks.

P.S. as an aside, I think how each codec performs seems to be related to a number of factors, so you can't definitively say XXX decoder is the best. If I am wrong and there is a 'best' decoder... please stop me now before I waste alot of time! Thanks.

My MVP wouldnt connect this morning - rebooted box and nothing...

I've tried reinstalling but it made no difference.

Anyone know what I should try next?

OS: Windows XP x64
RAM: 2 GiB of DDR400
PROC: AMD 3200+ Athlon 64
I/O: Hauppauge PVR-500 MCE
.NET Installed

  • 1.1 (x86)
  • 2.0 (x64)

When I attempt to open the config or GBPVR itself I get this error:

I have tried reinstalling the application to no avail. Any ideas anyone?

  Hauppauge remote

Hi,

Coould someone please tell me how i can get my Hauppauge Remote to work with the gbpvr software? I assume i have to use the ".exe changer plugin" in the channel changer box in the recording source but i am not sure what to point it at. I have a HVR1300 and pointed it at the "IR.exe" icon in the WinTV folder but it desnt work. It comes up with found channel changer plugin everytime i change a channel with the mouse or keyboard though.

Thanks
