After switching to the SQLite DB, I've been experiencing a weird problem with recordings. A program will be recorded as expected and Comskip will kick in as expected but the recording stays listed in the "Pending" list and cannot be deleted. If I restart both the recording service and GBPVR the program is removed from the pending list but shows up in the "Ready" list as "Failed". If I go to the Video Library, I see the program listed there and am able to watch it with no problems. Any ideas?
In an ongoing effort to perfect my GBPvr box, I've run into an issue that may be unique to me. Ocassionally, a GBPvr GUI popup will appear showing an error of some sort. In order to get this error popup box to go away, I have to VNC into the box and mouse click on the 'ok' button. I've tried pressing the escape and enter keys while VNC'ed in and nothing happens. Should I be able to get this box to go away via the remote/keyboard? Seems like it might be a focus issue, but I don't know...
Does anybody know where button texts and discription texts are pulled from.
I'm trying to complete the existing dutch language file. Some button and discription texts are not being translated, some are not even in the "Language.ANSI.DUT.XML" file
Putting them in there manually doesn't do the trick.
The only extra plugin I'm using at this moment is the weather plugin.
Something that's bugging me that I just can't seem to figure out. I have a Hercules Game Theatre XP 7.1 running the noise side of things for my Gbpvr box. I'm using the analogue 5.1 outputs to go to my 5.1 speakers.
I also have a standalone DVD player (The Gbpvr box has pretty much replaced it) as a fallback. It has both optical and coaxial digital outputs. I'm trying to use either of these to connect into the Game Theatre XP. However when I do I get nothing but static through the speakers.
If anyone is familiar with these sound cards or the equivelent SB can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Surely this soundcard can handle more than one input. It certainly has the connections for it. I didn't get a manual with it, it was an eBay special.
If anyone has any suggestions or can point me to a good resource I'd appreciate it.
I've just started using gbpvr and would like to understand some more about importing xmltv data.
I used freq2xml.exe to prepare an xml file that contains my channel definition.
I live in the Netherlands where we need to use the exact frequency.
So for example:
So the channel id is the frequency I need to use.
And this works. When I import EPG GBPVR creates the channels using then channel id as source channel.
It adds the channels to the (empty) list of channels sorted by freq and not by order of entry. I would have preferred the former.
Then I use Amontillado TVGIDS grabber to grab the real xmltv data.
It makes an xmltv file like this:
What I do not understand is how GBPVR matches its channels to the newly imported data. I guess it uses the display-name as unique id, but then again it uses the channel id to mach the data internal in the xmltv file. Could somebody pleas confirm this?
So to start a new gbpvr installation I need to:
1) prepare an xmltv file to define the channels and its frequency
2) renumber the channels to my preference
3) import the 'real' xmltv file.
What happens when an updated xmltv is imported?
1) When this new xmltv defines programs in empty time slots are the old programs preserved?
2) When the new xmltv tv defines programs on conflicting times are the old conflicting programs deleted?
And finally: did I overlook some documentation where I could have learned all this without bothering you?
I have a DirecTv D11 receiver which has a USB port for controlling it. This http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Con...11_via_USB
website provides instructions for how to use it through Windows. I think I have everything set up right but I am not getting a response from the D11 box.
Here is my set up:
Null modem cable connected into Com 1 of my computer
USB->Serial converter plugged into the USB port on the D11 box
The above two cables are then connected together
My serial port seems to be getting initialized successfully but I never get a response from the D11! Any ideas?
Just when you thought I ran out of questions I am back and this one should be pretty simple, I recently had to unplug the Media MVP from my router due to another more important (Telephone VoIP) adapter taking its place So I am very MVP debrived right now. So my question would be is how would I go about getting the MVP back up and running would I need to install a small switch or hub? I heard switches are better but I don't know about any of this stuff.
Hi,
I have just installed gbpvr and am having a few issues. My Live TV will freeze up randomly, requiring a complete hard reboot. Sometimes it happens after a few minutes, sometimes 20 minutes. I have a hauppauge pvr 150 and nvidia purevideo decoder with geforce 6200 gc.
I have tried all the vmr9,7, overlay options. Also tried turning on and off the FFDSHOW and the livepreview mode on and off.
I installed beyondtv previously, and had the same freezing issues. I uninstalled beyondtv.
I attached the log files if anyone needs to see them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm running 96.12. I haven't installed any plugins or whatnot for a long time. My system had been running fine until about a week ago when all of a sudden some of my channels started looking very fuzzy. I'm using a Hauppauge PVR 150. All channels look perfect using WinTV and TunerAssistant, but under GBPVR LiveTV (preview mode or timeshifted) some of the channels are horribly fuzzy, like they're not quite tuned in right. I've tried putting in the frequency from TunnerAssistant, but the channels would not even display. Most of my channels are fine, but the few between 37 and 53 look like the attached image. I've tried different Video Decoders, switching from VMR9 to VMR7, enabling FFDSHOW filtering, and switching between all the different muxers. Occassionally a channel that was really fuzzy will come in perfectly crystal clear. I'm not sure what to do next to troubleshoot it.
