we have a generic tickbox to "Avoid Duplicate Recordings Where Possible" in v5 settings however there are conditions where I would want to record duplicates, and other times where it's not wanted.
TV Shows - often many repeats and I have to manually remove the -0, -1, -2, -n files, so want to NOT keep duplicates
Movies - typically 1 or 2 repeats, usually differing bit rates based on time of day with DVB-C, so want to keep ALL duplicates until I put them in the DNR database table once cut and processed
Can you entertain an option to set duplicate recording avoidance in the advanced search mask? This would let me record duplicates for movies where I might have dropouts in the datastream, and ignore duplicates on tv shows where I am not as critical of the retention value.
is VOD supported with IPTV? the files are predominantly .mkv files, and although none are present now, i have seen in the past some of the VOD urls providing .avi files. i am using latest v5 version in a docker on a CoreELEC device.
live TV is working fine, and my VOD channels / groups show up in Kodi but when i try to play them i get 'failed to connect to recording device' in Kodi and npvr logs, and they seem to suggest npvr is only looking for a TS stream, and does not recognize .mkv files / pass them through to kodi to decode and play.
i can play the content using simple.iptv client in Kodi and on my PC with VLC so i know it is available.
error from logs below, full logs zipped and attached if it will help..
If I record a new show, I can see it in Pending, like I can see Planned recording
but I cannot see the same list for existing recorded shows . The desktop is fine with the list of recorded shows
I'm killing myself here trying to manage Windows batch processing of the completed recordings, and I'm using a lot of code with enabledelayedexpansion.
totally blow up because delayed expansion creates this string instead
"H:\Recordings\Natürlich Blond (2001).ts"
Is there any easy way to have NPVR remove some special characters from the filenames before recording starts? Maybe a platform-independent replacement file so people can tune filenames as needed?
Does anyone know what has happened with Schedules Direct? In the past when any of my local stations changed or added channels, I would log in and send them the change information. The correction would happen in just a few days. The last "correction" never happened. Now I have three channels that are not correct. Any ideas?
I keep getting an unhandled exception whenever I hit the remote 'i' button on live tv/video.
Have done a full delete/reinstall, but that didn't help.
Logs and exception details are attached.
Hi,
about 4 days ago the EPG in Kodi started showing "No Details" for one of the free to air providers.
So one provider with multiple channels..
I checked NextPvr which also had this issue.
I emptied the EPG in NextPvr and then did an update.
Didn't work.
I dropped all my tuner devices ( I have a Quad Tuner) and reloaded them and updated the EPG again, but channel TEN shows no EPG information.
I had a quick look at the logs and I can see channels like "Ten HD" being checked for EPG and not throwing an error.
