i am having issue with VOD not showing after setting up a new device and importing from m3u.
when import i see all the VOD channels, and they are in the correct group, however, when i save, the VOD channels do not show in the 'channels' list and do not get sent to Kodi. i can see them if i expand the device and they are all present but in channel list they are missing, the channels that do show have correct number both before and after the VOD channels, so in the channel list where the VOD channels should be, the numbering just jumps by 150 (the number of VOD channels currently i have). it is as though nextpvr is filtering them out from the channel list.
i did see some lines in the logs about filtering VOD, so i tried changing <SendVOD>false<SendVOD> to <SendVOD>true<SendVOD> in config.xml, restarting and re-importing to a fresh DB. i no longer saw the lines in the log about filtering VOD, but ultimatly still no change with VOD still showing under 'device', but missing under 'channels'.
The stream urls for the VOD channels all end in .mkv.
If i set all my stream urls in the m3u file to be behind redirect urls in m3u editor, so there is no reference to .mkv in the url anymore, all channels including VOD import correctly when setting up a new device, unfortunately using redirect urls has adverse effect to playback as nextpvr no longer streams as-is and trans-codes, and my box cant handle the extra cpu hit so playback constantly stalls and freezes on all HD content (most of may channels are 720 or 1080). If i turn off redirect url in m3u editor and update m3u in nextpvr, the stream urls are updated to show actual, but the VOD channels disappear from the channel list again (but still remain under 'device')
Is there a setting somewhere i need to change to get the VOD to show in channel list and be passed to Kodi?
it is odd as i had this working in the last release 5.04, and was still working when i updated image to 5.05, but for some reason i simply cannot set up a new device and get it to work anymore. i even tried going back to image 5.04 and setting up the new device to confirm if this is something introduced by 5.05 but it would appear not, as i get same result. The only change from when it did set up the new device and include the VOD channels in the channel list correctly, is my number of VOD channels has increased from around 70 to around 150. if i drop my old DB back in that has 70 VOD channels it works again and the channels show in the channel list and are passed to Kodi. i even compared the two DBs, working and non working cross referencing 'channel' 'channel_mapping' 'channel_group' and a few other tables, column by column on some sample VOD and also working channels and cannot see any difference, other than an increased VOD channel count on the non working DB.
note i tried repeating all this using windows version also, and got the same behavior.
Hi, following the previous thread about v5.0.4, testing a new scan on NPVR 5.0.5 I am noticing significant improvements but critical cases and some novelties persist.
I attach the documentation if you like to analyze it.
I remember that V5 now stores metadata in a .xml file alongside its related recording. Are there any cautions about deleting these files after the recording is complete but keeping the recording?
I installed the new update on Linux server and now I cannot see anything for All Recordings in the web interface. It does show me the Recent recordings and the failed recordings.
On the Scheduler I can see the recurring but my Pending list is empty now and it had a few dozen entries this morning before updating.
The update was supposed to make loading the recordings list faster, so there is some anomaly in there. The Pending problem came after I tried adding a new manual recurring recording in the web interface. It seems to have erased all but one pending item that would have been sooner than the new item I was adding.
The recordings show up in the KNEWC addon, but it also shows that my pending list is still empty, so something is broken in the logic that makes pending entries from the recurring list. I did an EPG update to see if it would repopulate with no luck.
I found this in the logs (attached):
2020-05-20 18:24:57.203 [ERROR][25] Unexpected error in RecordingRequestHandler.HandleRequest():
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at NShared.Extend.RecordingRequestHandler.GetRecordingList(Dictionary`2 parameters)
at NShared.Extend.RecordingRequestHandler.HandleRequest(String method, Dictionary`2 parameters)
After upgrading and seeing the problem , I saw a thread several hours ago where you posted a new NShared.dll which I copied to the system and restarted the service but it still had the problem.
I'm trying to setup NextPVR on a Raspberry Pi 3 with Raspberian as the OS. The installation went fine, and I was able to detect ClearQAM channels on my Hauppauge 950Q. The problem is that when I go and try and watch a channel, I get the message: "Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)"
When I look at the device adapter log, I see this:
20:22:36:656 [DEBUG] starting stream: LIVE&/home/pi/recordings/live-KCRA-420-22.ts
20:22:36:656 [DEBUG] slip seconds: 1200

I'm not sure where to go from here. I did try and install the Kodi NextPVR client, but I get nothing from there. What's also weird is that the file in the log doesn't exist (adapter0-QAM-channels.conf.) Any help is appreciated.
I hope that I'm able to explain this properly. The last time that I used NextPVR it was GB-PVR. Great that you're still around after all this time.
I installed V5.04 a ew days ago on a machine that ended up being not powerful enough. I had everything working but it was too slow.
Yesterday, I tried to re-install on another machine. I started from scratch and didn't realize that there had been update in-between so my new install was 5.05.
I wasn't able to install IPTV as a device. During setup, I clicked on Groups to get rid of the foreign languages. A box popeed out and I was unable to uncheck all of the Groups as I was unable to move down the list.
'When you click on the list, if you try scroll down, the window underneath moves and you can't move down the list. I tried Pg Down, the scroll whell on the mouse and the arrow keys
I unchecked as many as I could, thinking that I could go to Channels and get rid of the rest, but I cou;dn't save anything.
Mod - please move if this isn't the correct place to post.
Is there a way to change the location of the NPVR-data folder for NPVR 5? I am running out of room on my system hard drive and would like to move as much as possible to my other hard drive on my laptop.
