I was wondering if using Trans2MVP.bat is still a valid option on 0.97.07 release. Directions for using it refer to options that are no longer available on the MVP configuration screen (ffdshow and ffmpeg). Additionally, I have verified that this batch file is not executing when I view video from the MediaMVP.
It is also possible I have some other setting wrong, but I thought I'd ask in a new thread - before spending any more time troubleshooting this.
I am trying to uninstall version 95.16 and it is asking me for the .msi which I have deleted. It asked me for the same file when trying to upgrade to a new version too. Should I just do a manual messy uninstall or is there a place where I can get that file?
Just trying to get my first pvr setup. First and foremost my specs:
WinXP Pro SP2, 2.4GHZ P4, 1 GB RAM, 40GB HDD
GBR 09707 (latest version as of today)
Raedon 9000 w/ s-video tv out
PVR500 Hauppauge MCE
Dish Network STB - USA
O.k., so for now just trying to get one of the two tuners on the pvr500 working.
I have recorded sound successfully and that is about it, although the file size would indicate video was also recorded. However, I can't playback the recorded file, using GBPVR or Media Player 10, more specifically I only hear the audio, no video.
I have composite (r,w,y) from pvr 500 going into STB DishNetwork composite.
Now my Dish STB has coaxial in from satellite dish, which connect to t.v. coaxial in from atenna. I won't mention s-video tv-out right now, as I can not even playback on my PC with WM10.
p.s. GBPVR recognises both PVR500 tuners during config (ie. show only recognized cards option). I have also installed latest drivers for pvr. (btw, should use pvr 150 or pvr 500 drivers, or are the one in the same?)
You can get any image file (.img .ccd .mdf etc) to show up and play from your video library (via daemon tools) by renaming it as an .iso. So long as daemon tools recognises the original file format, it will still play it when renamed.
I have received a response from Reven to try in the gbpvr forum for the answer I seek, so here goes.
I am trying to understand where my issue lies it may not be with xmltv it could be with gbpvr, I am hoping you can point me in the right direction.
I have a tvcard which has the normal NZ tv channels configured for the antenna, and then I use the composite input on the tv card for my sky receiver.
I have them configured as two separate sources in gbpvr but of course in terms of channel lineup there is two tv1, tv2, tv3, maori, prime and c4 I would like to be able to easily tell on the epg which tv1 is on the sat source and which is on the antenna.
This is only likely to be compounded when I finally set up my second TV card.
I currently do not understand where the channel names are being driven from as when I add them manually they seem to change names (and channels) when I do an epg update. If I could fathom out why this happens I think I could understand the process better.
For all those people from Ontario, Canada, this if you have your conservation bureau coupons. I've been looking to remote control my lights and I've finally started. It's not an HTPC solution, but this works quite well - an RF remote control too. The remote can control up to four lights and has a master on/off.
New feature is that Mixman has graciously agreed to make a few changes to the themepacks to accomodate last minute changes. BaseSkin Themepacks are now supported. More info later.
My Media MVP keeps locking up with 'Application Loading' and never goes any further. In order to get it to even work again, I have to unplug the unit form power and network for five minutes.
I'm a newb at setting up GB-PVR, but it seemed pretty straightforward. I've disabled the hauppauge media MVP services as well as uninstalled the entire program. No luck connecting the Media MVP to my PC with GB-PVR.
It DOES work with the Hauppauge Media MVP program installed.
Since installing the latest version of GBPVR (from scratch since update didn't work for me), my list of channels gets duplicated every time I update with Zap2It. I get 75 channels in my area. Every day my channel list grows by 75 channels. I currently have 300 channels in my list. The original 75 in numerical order, then 3 more sets of the same 75 channels but in no order at all. Any ideas what's happening here? Do I need to re-install GBPVR?
I just don't get it. I am just wanting to capture from basic cable. I think I have done everything properly and basically 80 channels come across just fine except for ABC which is simply channel 13? I just get static on this channel. I take the cable and plug it into my MYHD card on the same PC and the channel is displayed just fine. I just bought this card a few months ago. Could it be broken?
