  FM Radio - BlueMCE2
Posted by: seb07843 - 2006-04-30, 04:05 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (4)

Adding stations to FM radio only shows a red "X"
The station plays fine but you can't read any info

It's hard to see (3) Xs in the pic,(one for each of the stations added) but i'ts to the right of the Play, Stop, Add buttons.

  tweaking ffdshow transcoding in config.xml
Posted by: cakes - 2006-04-30, 03:47 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (3)

Hi,

In the wiki it says that you can tweak ffdshow transcoding in config.xml. The only entry I find in config.xml though is <MVPFFmpegTranscodeCmdLinePAL>. Is the same line used for the ffdshow transcoding? Or do I need something else manually?

I've searched for this in the forum but could not find it.

Software Recorder, recording in VCD format
Posted by: stampee - 2006-04-30, 02:24 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - No Replies

Hello: I am using software recorder V25 on my Kworld PVR-plus capture card. BT878 chipset.
I installed the ATI Avivo Transcoder that is suggested in the readme file of Ver 25
Recording works fine, and timeshifting work as well.
Is there a way to adjust the compression settings in the ATI transcoder, maybe from an external program?
I would like to save in VCD format with 48KHZ audio if I could.
If I can do that, I can then save multiple VCD movies on one DVD disc.
Right now the ATI transcoder saves in mpg2 format and 44 khz audio. This is not a standard DVD format, nor is it an mpg1 VCD format, so I am forced to do a second transcoding using another program. (Svcd2mpg)
I realize this is not a Software Recorder problem, but I was hoping somebody could give me some advice.
I read all the posts in the software recorder sticky, and somebody was saying they could access all of the compression settings in the ATI transcoder, but they did not say how. After 100 pages of posts, I was going blind and thought it better to ask the question here.
Thank you very much.

Which DVB-S card for proper CI support
Posted by: alexioklini - 2006-04-30, 01:58 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (3)

Hi,

I am using gbpvr for some time now and i am very pleased with it. IMHO its one of the best of the htpc/pvr applications available for windows today.

My question is which dvb-s card is needed for viewing scrambled channels by using a CI slot and CAM/card combo?

Thanks,
Alex

  imperfection / bug?
Posted by: Koenie - 2006-04-30, 01:48 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I am transcoding my shows and noticed that GBPVR picks the AVI files up perfectly in the database. HOwever when the video is then started for the first time it will not pick up the advertisements. Simply playing the file for 2 seconds and restarting is enough to make GBPVR pick up the ads.

  Recording Software
Posted by: Digital712 - 2006-04-30, 01:42 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

Does anyone know of any free recording apps that will work for the PVR500?

I need to record some old VHS home movies. Doing it through GBPVR would be a kind of hassle.

Thanks,

Tony

  TerraTec Cinergy 1200 DVB-C
Posted by: deischi - 2006-04-30, 09:54 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

This card is causing some problems with gbpvr, but there is some partial success in getting this card running.

Now there is a new beta driver with the TerraTec Home Cinema 4.0 Beta software (see http://forum.digitalfernsehen.de/forum/s...p?t=108289 or directly ftp://ftp.terratec.de/Demo/TerraTec_Home...0_Beta.exe)

At least for me this new driver is also not helping much. But the card is working with MediaPortal and this new TerraTec software. It seems that the 1200 does not like gbpvr.

Some time ago I already had the card running in Live mode, only timeshifting and recording was not working. After playing around with the codes live tv is also not working any more - I only get black.

So my questions:
- @all: Is this card fully working with gbpvr somehwere. Maybe a "careful" reinstallation is all that it takes.
- @sub: Is there anything I can do to help? Do you think asking TerraTec for help makes sense.

I really would like to use gbpvr as my DVR software.

  Quick question about parallelprocessing.bat
Posted by: Fubrite - 2006-04-30, 09:46 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Is it possible to run rectracker (and nothing else) from parallelprocessing.bat?

I ask, because I'm recording stuff on some of the +1 channels, and of course, by the time rectracker gets to work on the first recording, adds it to the database and purges the recording list, recording has already started on the offset channel, so if I could run rectracker in parallelprocessing, it would solve the problem - or would it?

Cheers

Stefan

  anyone have dvdauthor 5.4??
Posted by: pBS - 2006-04-30, 05:47 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (3)

hey all...need some help..i need a copy of win32 port of Dvdauthor ver 5.4..
the newest one is 6.11 but it doesn't work! they seem to have messed up the menu creation from the command line in the post 6.x versions but the older version seemed to work fine..i have an old 5.3 version but they fixed some things after that so wanted the next working one, which seems to be 5.4 ..
so if anyone knows where i might find it i'd be ever so greatfull..
i'm making a dvd-burning plugin for the transcode button that creates a nice menued dvd by picking shows for transcode...Big Grin[dvd menus from command line!]
right now i'm using mixed versions but would like to have a good stable one for release..
or if anyone knows a commadn line menu creator that would be great too Smile
