  If I mute the software of my soundcard, are shows recorded muted?
Posted by: Royle - 2006-04-28, 11:40 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I recorded some shows last night with my Hauppauge PVR-150, and none of them have audio when played back. I've been recording shows with the tuner for about a week now and haven't had this problem. I also don't have this problem anymore. When I recorded these shows, I believe I had the sound icon in my system tray muted, would that cause cause my recordings to have muted sound? Thanks in advance for your help.

  Questions regarding remote and webserver
Posted by: yg17 - 2006-04-28, 11:18 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I just got a PVR-150 and it's working great with PVR. Currently enjoying the Simpsons right now Big Grin

Anyways, I have a couple questions with the remote:

1. I want to set a button to control the aspect ratio (F7). How do I do that? One of the colored buttons on the bottom is what I'd like to use.
2. On the top, the TV button works, but Videos, Music, ect, don't. How do I get those working?
3. Is there a way to make the green power button start GBPVR if it isn't running?

And finally, I setup the webserver option in config, and while I have no idea what it does, I'd like to see it. But when I go to it, I get:
Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application.
HTTP Error 404 - Not Found.
Version Information: Cassini Web Server 1.0.2254.33789

Edit: D'oh, one more question. Is there a way to make GBPVR always in timeshifting mode so I can rewind? Right now, I have to pause first for it to enter timeshifting.

How do I fix this?

Thanks.

  Dual tuner tuning procedure
Posted by: LesMcQueen - 2006-04-28, 10:24 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Hi all. I've been a single tuner GB-PVR user for a while now and think it's great.

I'm currently setting up a spare PC for use as a full-time PVR, and plan to use it with a Media MVP client.

I've had lots of success so far, and am able to record from both tuners at the same time, but I feel that my channel scanning and setup for each tuner may be inconsistent, as a result of configuring both seperately.

My question is this..... Is it possible to clone the channel tuning configuration from Tuner 1 and use it to configure Tuner 2?

Hope you can help. - Thanks,

Hi,

Has anyone experienced driver/dll problems with their GB-PVR setups after installing DVDShrink or is this perfectly safe and unrelated to this setup?

Tom.

  Question about nVidia Purevideo
Posted by: pdp76 - 2006-04-28, 06:46 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

When I'm watching live tv with GBPVR, the little nVidia Purevideo decoder appears in my task tray which tells me that everything seems to working just fine.

However, when I'm watching a recorded program, the nVidia task tray icon does not appear. Does this mean the Purevideo decoders aren't being used during playback of recorded programs?

Can anyone else using GBPVR with purevideo decoders help me out? Thanks.

  Hauppauge NOVA-T only finds BBC
Posted by: FoZZiE - 2006-04-28, 04:49 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Ok so ive just got a Hauppauge NOVA-T pci card and after many scans and looking through the settings the only channels that get picked up are BBC 1 and 2, CBBC and bbc news 24. A friend of mine that lives a few hundred metres up the road from me gets all or alot of the channels fine with his set-top box and older aerial. I live in rotherham and if i select sheffield transmitter i got those channels and nothing if i select emley moor.

Can anyone help please?

  Another NativeUtilities question
Posted by: mrothwell - 2006-04-28, 03:33 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I've done some searches and it seems that I have done what has been suggested:

I have a fresh install of XP pro
WMP 10 installed
nVidia codec installed

This is the first time I've tried gbpvr and after I hit the ignore button, the config screen comes up, but no info in the drop down boxes.

Here's the JIT info

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.
