I have a question that I couldn't find the answers by searching. This is not about aspect ratio or F7.
I'm outputing GB-PVR to 60" HDTV via Nvidia MX440 DVI connection at 1280*720 resolution in Windows.
If I play an .avi file in full screen in GBPVR, will the directshow first convert the video to 720*480 (GBPVR skin resolution) and then upconvert to 1280*720 (Windows resolution)? Or, will it convert the video to 1280*720 directly?
How about if I play recorded HDTV file in MPEG2 format? As I understand, the GBPVR records HDTV signal in its original bit stream. When it plays the file, will it first down convert to 720*480 then upconvert to 1280*720?
The latest release (v0.96.8) included the new alternate GBMVP.BIN dongle. Its fairly rough at the moment, but I'll be improving it over coming releases.
If you have any feedback relating to GBMVP.BIN dongle, post it here. I'll try to work through as much as I can.
Hi, i have a hauppauge wintv pvr-150 card with a geforce ti 4200.
I use wintv as a Tv-in and Geforce as Tv-out.
I want to be able to use GBPVR with my remote and access it directly trough my tv, i use Geforce (tv-out)clone mode wich only show me the center of the screen.
The problem is i use a 1280x720 resolution on my monitor and the max i can have on my tv is 1024x768. I definatly doesn't want to go on my PC and reduce resolution evry time i use the program
I tried the dualview thing but i hate it because when i use other program or game and my mouse get on the other screen, the application quit and evry time i go on the net and i try to scroll the page, it goes to the other screen :o
I think there are only 2 solution but i dont know if they work so here are my questions:
1) is it possible to make GB-PVR run at a 1024x768 resolution automatically a bit like full screen application/games wich reduce automatically the resolution when they are runned and go back to the desktop resolution once we exit the application ?
2) is it possible to disable the zoom of a (tv-out) clone mode on a TV ?
3) if those two solutions are impossible, is there a way to display GB-PVR on a TV and actually see it in full screen ?
I'm using the DVB-EPG Broadcast option to obtain the epg from the broadcast but having problems getting it to obtain data for some channels.
I've scanned all the channels, and in the digital channel mapping I'm placing a tick into the enabled box, then clicked ok to return to the editing recording source.
the channel i've enabled doesn't have any tuning request assigned to it, and unable to assign any either.
all channels are detected ok when running showshifter, and the epg works fine from over the air, no need to wait 3 minutes per channel to update.
Also takes some time in moving from within the tuning forms to another form (upto a minute between changing forms) even when clicking on cancel, and while doing so everything else is hung waiting.
for reference i'm using a freecom dvb-t with yakumo bda drivers
I've had this a couple of times while trying to map channels and also when clicking on the ok button for the config, and it tries to restart the recording service

do you need any further info to see what causing this, also it seems to take up a lot of processing power when either starting or exiting.
Hey all. I am fairly distracted due to the birth of my son but I am trying like hell to get my PVR up and running.
First off. The channels do import from zap2it and everything seems to be working fine until I try to see the channels in GBPVR. It tells me that I need to import the list of channels blah blah ... Basically what I just did. The funny thing is that this worked for me before I moved it into the tv room... argh. I know the wireless connection is strong. Nothing else has changed.
Ive added a new page to the Wiki, in an effort to provide a depositry of experiences with the setting up of the multitude of tuner cards we are using with GBPVR.
On the list at the moment are tuners which are alreay supported by GBPVR (they are marked 'Native' in the column called 'Level of support'). Mixman got these from within the BDA.ini and direct.ini files and suggested we have links to drivers - so some of the links are there but theres plenty still to be filled in.
The 'Level of support' column is there to be used as an indicator for when a tuner can be made to work with GBPVR but needs a bit of initial legwork such as editing direct.ini and so on. So anyonw who has done this and has a card thats not on the list, either post here detailing what needs adding, or pm blader_se for access to the wiki and do the additions/editing yourself.
I'll try and fill in the blanks over the coming week. Id appreciate anyones contributions to make this a worthwhile exercise.
