I changed the zip code in getlistings.bat (actually 1getlistings.bat) to mine (12047) but I'm getting no listings. Is this because there are no theaters in my zip code? There are theaters in my area but they are in several different zip codes. How can I include them all? TIA!

If so, what are your thoughts? I've just installed the 14 day trial and been playing with it, and so far it seems to work on channel changes ... haven't tried rebooting though...

Hauppauge PVR-150 (with IrBlaster and 45 button Remote)
DirecTV Satellite Receiver
SB Live! Sound Card


I am experiencing very scratchy sounding audio with both live TV and recordings. I've searched the forum for what might be the best driver for the PVR-150 and have heard conflicting results. I tried the driver that came with the cd (normally a no-no but read in the forum that the "Orange CD" had good drivers). I also tried the Amity Pre-Release drivers. Neither one made much of a difference as far as I could tell.

PVR-150 users, whuch drivers do you believe would be the best for my system?

The new names are :

The newest WHQL Version is V1.2.3.0 and the latest is the V1.2.3.4

So I got now dvb (t)too.
And I plugged s-vid in the pvr hauppage 250 and stereo in line in on the 250.
But it's already configured for analog cable.
Is there anyway to get this dual input working or do i have to put in another tv-card?
Good advice is priceless! (So I won't pay you, execept for the odd donation to sub ).

Since 2 days, starting gbpvr or config.exe results in an exception:

Process-id=0x1548 (5448), thread-id=0x1748 (5960)

I really miss gbpvr. How do I fix this?

This is a BETA preview of my little utility that produces output to the console. This is something I am working on at the moment. I look forward to your comments, suggestions.
This is not compatible with GBPVR 0.96.12 or earlier.

The help file installed in the "GB-PVR/Documentation" start menu group contains detailed information about how to use this utility.

It is part of my SlimmGBPVR project. If, after installation, you do not wish to use the Tray Utility part:

1. Right click the SlimmGBPVR tray icon and select Close.
   
2. Go to your "All Programs\Startup" folder from the Start menu and delete the SlimmGBPVR shortcut.
   

• Get information about pending recordings.
  
• Get information about in-progress recordings.
  
• Filter information returned to include, for example, only recordings on BBC1 or something.
  
• Use in conjunction with GB-PVR batch files.
  

I'd like to have a feature whereby a command can be launched following the move of the file. This way, I can archive and have the conversion start at a low priority.

I have downloaded and tried a number of different codecs to see which one had the best quality. I only recently found out about GraphEdit and lastgraph to see which ones were actually used. To my surprise, eventhough I selected NVIDIA decoder from config, it is not used at all. In fact in was using mpeg2dec. I have started using the Radlight filter program to change prioirities of the various decoders, some even had to be unregistered before I could change them being the default.

One thing that was surprising was that GBPVR config program does not give the same list of codecs that could be possibly used. It there a settings file that needs to be updated to influence this?

Currently I have just two options in config. Hauppauge Intervideo or Nvidia Decoder.
No matter which I select, I get the intervideo one each time according to GraphEdit.
I have tried changing the priority to make the NVIDIA the preferred one. Perhaps the trial period has expired. I didnt really expect it to make a difference, since my card is so old anyhow, but wanted to compare it with the intervideo hauppauge one. Probably, the hauppauge is the best anyhow.

Looking at a number of other posts, I noticed that the graph diagram for intervideo varies. Some people have more components than I have. Is there a optimial or recommended number of steps/components for using the hauppage intervideo codecs?

P.S. Sorry for another post on codecs. Some of the older members must be getting fed up answering these questions. But to be honest, it is the one area I spent the most time tweaking. GBPVR is a great program with lots of functionality, but I primary use it to view recorded programs from my cable.
