Now with the newest version, i have a problem with the EPG.
I saw, that some channels have no EPG listing. So i went into the settings and started an EPG update. It takes few settings, then the message occurs, that the EPG update is finished, with no changes (0 insterted, etc.)
I clearded the EPG and started the update again. No change.
I restarted the PC, and then the update worked.
Today i have the same problem again. On some channels the EPG is missing, even though it should have been in the cache from yesterday. But it is empty.
Same behavior again. Not updating.
I attached the logs (i had to delete files from the zip, because it was to big to attach is completly, i deleted older logs). I think it has something to do with entering standby. So that after the system was in standby, the update does not work anymore. But thats only guessed.
I have a blackgold 3600 quad tuner which is not being detected during device scan. The card is working fine with wmc as Ive been using it for years.
I use w10 x64 with the current bda drivers.
I disabled the wmc services and restarted still without success.
Im using v5 of npvr.
Any suggestions welcomed.
I have a strange problem. I am using NextPVR v5 in combination with Kodi. When I have more than approximately 700 channels the channel icons don't appear in Kodi anymore. When I reduce the amount of channels to approximately below 700 the channel icons reappear in Kodi.
I first thought the problem was on the Kodi side but after some more investigation I have figured out that the problem is actually on the NextPVR side.
When there are less than 700 channels the link gives the XML code of one channel looking like this: <channel> <id>66610</id> <name>|NL| NPO 1 HD</name> <number>3</number> <minor>0</minor> <formatted-number>3</formatted-number> <type>0x1</type> <details>http://line.hi-ott.net:80/Mehra/VXBYpvSct1fPs8c/740 </details> <icon>true</icon> </channel>
When I have more than 700 channels the link gives the XML code for the same channel looking like this: <channel> <id>66610</id> <name>|NL| NPO 1 HD</name> <number>3</number> <minor>0</minor> <formatted-number>3</formatted-number> <type>0x1</type> <details>http://line.hi-ott.net:80/Mehra/VXBYpvSct1fPs8c/740 </details> </channel>
The icon tag is suddenly missing! That explains why the icon doesn't display anymore in Kodi.
Now I would love to have an explanation why the icon tag suddenly disappears when I have more than 700 channels.
Hopefully someone will be able to solve this mystery. I have included my log files.
Sub,
Did you get round to adding the horizontal option for the Menu display (or have I missed it)?
Could only see a setting for "slideout" in the Config file.
Ray.
Tried carrying out a 'Empty EPG' command. No idea if it worked (forgot to just go look in the guide), but perhaps a 'Guide Emptied' message would be nice.
When I click on an empty iptv device I have and tell it too import channels, it says 'm3u url (required)' and 'xml url (optional)'. I presume the xml thing is where the guide link goes. Maybe a bit more help text ?
Under Devices, maybe the text at the top could be spread about a bit more, am always forgetting that 'press ctrl for more options' thing.
Sorry, think there might be a feature requests thing this might be better in...
I have NextPVR Version: 5.0.2.200322 installed on Linux. When I click on Recordings from the web browser, then click on a recording picture, clicking on the Back button in the upper left corner of the web page does not go back. Hitting back on the browser works. I am having this issue when using a Mac connected through the browser. This does not happen with FireFox.
Ok, I have finally decided to take the plunge and try out Ver 5. Looks good so far. Everyone has said that ver 5 would be better at creating a channel for my IP camera. I have got the RTSP url for my camera and I need to know where to import that into NextPVR 5. I am at the devices page and think I am to use the import channels option. I try to use the URL option and hit save it just hangs at starting import.
Am I doing something wrong or can I just not do this?
Thank you,
Bruce
Is there any chance to get the Smart TV app (Smart TV App for Samsung / LG) to connect to the v5 version? I tried, but I get nothing. IP and port are set correctly. But I suspect a user/pass issue...
Giday, just been trying out Nextpvr 5, after using working Version 4.
Bit of a learning curve, but I have all my channels configured, but for the life of me, I can not get IR Blasting working.
First off, does Nextpvr5 support IR Blasting?
I have Nextpvr 4 still installed, but just stopped the V4 service and it's tray utility.
I installed Nextpvr 5, configured the devices and channels etc.
I have DVB-T Tuners, and Hauppauge Colossus. I imported an xmltv file, and configured location of blaster executable and parameters.
I assumed it would just use the same commands I use in V4, which are in my Program Files (x86)\NPVR folder, and I have a Blast.cmd file, and HaupBlast.exe in that folder. I created a folder called NPVR5,and installed Nextpvr 5 into that.
I could see no way to select correct channel numbers inside the web config, so instead had to edit my tvguide.xml file to change the default channel ID's to match my STB's channel numbers.
All the DVB-T channels work, but the STB channels will not IR blast.
Instead, it starts playback of the last channel the STB was on.
Is it possible to edit blaster executable config after initial import?
I am sure there is a way, but it does not seem very intuitive to me, after using Version 4.
