My DVD authoring software suggests the bitrate is too high.....when I tried to burn a recording, the sound was out of synch....and an hour long recording took up almost the whole 4.7GB DVD.
I'm new to GBPVR but from i've seen so far it's great. My question is to do with a quality issue I have when watching TV. I have a sky digital box running through a Scart to S-Video converter which in turn plugs into my PVR 150 and then using GBPVR I watch TV. However when the screen seems to be really busy..for example the Tesco advert or some such program I get pink and green lines across the screen which is quite annoying. It only seems to happen when the screen is full with lots going on.
My PC is an old P4 1.8, 512MB RAM and a ATI Radeon 7200 graphics card.
Can anyone suggest anything that might resolve this issue?
In order to simplify the job for those that want to tune Comskip i have made some advanced data inspection functions available.

The top part of the window is the timeline of the recording.
Clicking on the timeline will move the preview quickly to the selected position
The text at the left is the help text listing the available command keys
The black and white image in the back is the preview of the mpeg recording at the selected position
The coloured graphs show detailed information about the recording.
From the bottom to the top it shows brightness, sound, non_uniformity, scene change, logo match, aspect ratio and black bar positions.
Through zooming and unzooming of the timeline you can have both a good overview and see on a per frame basis the transitions. The selected position is the transition between two commercials showing that both brightness, sound and non_uniformity are within the blackframe limits (graph color changes to white) and that the aspect ratio does not change.
I hope this helps in understanding why Comskip is (not) able to do its job.
It would be Awesome if there would be a way to add a plugin that would integrate with either a native interface to view Replay recorded shows (off of the Replay device itself), or to skin over DVArchive/ReplayPC so you could be "in" GBPVR but still watch Replay recordings.
This is a strange problem that i have been having lately. When i installed the most recent drivers 20_35_23348 and then updated with 22_23257 it works just fine but as soon as i restart my computer after the succesful install i loose all sound on TV. Now whenever i try a diff driver it does teh same thing
I understand that MCE means XP Media Centre Edition. What is the difference between a MCE capture card and a non-MCE capture card.
1. Will a MCE card work with GBPVR (for example for the PVR-150 MCE)
2. Will a non MCE card work with XP MCE? (for example the PVR-150)
Or is it that the remotes are the only thing which is different? I'm going to buy a video capture card, and was thinking about a PVR-150 or PVR-350. But I don't understand the MCE option for video capture card. Can anyone help?
I bought recently a USB DigiTV card by Pinnacle (PCTV 200e) for laptop use. I installed GB-PVR v.0.95.16 and tried to use it with 200e card. Unfortunately its not on the list and naturally any of drivers, that were on that list, didn't work at all.
Is there any future plans, that this card would be usefull witin your wonderful PVR software?
Pinnacles own software hangs up way too many times!
