so, everytime i change the quality setting to high it reverts to medium. whenever i edit the quality settings they revert to their previous ones. any ideas?

scratch that, the quality profiles can be edited, but i'm stuck on medium. if i select anything else, it'll revert.

also, how come it always records to avi with the mpeg4 format? if i chose the microsoft standard, shouldn't it go to mpg?

I get this error message and it won't store qny of the program data and fails to record. any idea on how to fix this?

I would like to setup a "custom" display of my Video files, and follow with a similar custom display of my Audio files.
the first screen shows categories
the second screen (if needed) would show sub-categories
the third screen would show the individual fiels to choose from

I would select for example "MOVIES" then "DRAMA" then "THE USUAL SUPECTS"

As shown each selection upto the file itself will allow for a specific image, or if non exists a default image can be displayed instead.

any ideas, examples, or plug-ins to allow me to do this? any and all suggestions and help welcome.

For some reason, i cant start the gui for gbpvr. The recording service works fine, and i schedule stuff on the enhanced web interface, but I cant open the graphical interface. Even a reinstall wouldnt do it. Can anyone help me?

Is anyone else having problems with the website and the Wiki? I can't get the page to come up.

It's a shame in some ways that gbpvr is so plugin based! Whenever a new skin first comes out it doesn't support all the plugins and even if it does sometimes it will reset the settings if it writes to the plugins folder! Just spent a couple of hours messing with xguide getting all the channels sorted (Which seems a bit like a duplicate task as already done elsewhere!) then I update some skins and all the settings are gone! I know the saying if you wish to use this software then be prepared to spend some time with it but I've spent MANY hous already and quite frankly wondering how much longer it will be worth my time continuing with it. Don't get me wrong I appreciate all the effort everyone puts in especially as I can't contribute much myself although I do try and answer questions people ask if I know the answer. Would be nice to have an idea what and when Sub is adding for the next version but no one seems to dare mention it! As you can tell I'm a bit peed off right now as quite late and will probably regret saying some of this come morning but what the hell I've said it anyway!

i've never tried to use hibernate until now as my laptop didnt support it. however, ive just got a new laptop with wake on lan enabled in the bios, so i've been trying to get it to wake for a scheduled recording.
Even though wake on lan is enabled, when i put the laptop in hibernate it never wakes up. if i put it in standby it works fine. Any idea why? i'd prefer to use hibernate if possible. I've looked through the forums and all i can find is that if its got WOL it should work.
The other thing i want to know is its fine getting it to wake up for a recording but is it possible to get it to go back into standby/hibernate after its finished recording?

Hi just trying to get the My Music plugin working as I'd like.

However some of my albums show all tracks as just '00'. because they are all the same name they are out of order and I cant tell what I'm selecting.

It's like the plugin isnt reading the ID tag info properly or something. They show up fine in itunes so I assume the tags are ok.

anyone else experienced this or knows the cause please let me know! tried searching but 00 is too short to search on so not having much luck....

I occasionally get zero length files in my e:\program files\devnz\gbpvr directory. Filename is name of recorded program, with no extension and file date/time is start of recording. The main recorded mpeg file seems fine. I've been deleteing these 0 length files manually up to now and am wondering what may be generating them. They're not causing a problem, just being 'untidy'.

i know there has been quite a long Thread about this, but i'd like to start a fresh one as it didn't really discuss my problem, and also it's a bit different this time.

In the meantime i've upgraded to GBPVR 0.95.16.
I use Hauppauge-drivers ver .23348 for my PVR150.
OS is Win2K Server, DX 9.0c, .NET 1.1 at a recent patch level.

It is still the case that the PC-GBPVR client crashes as soon as i start teletext using CTRL-R.
But that's not my main problem.

If i try to launch teletext on the MVP i now get back to the main menu immediately, showing a dialog box saying "object reference not set to an instance of an object".
Also, the Recording service is crashed. (Probably causes above error?)

I used GraphEdit and could produce Teletext output using that.
I also tried to rebuild the Graph that is written in the logs, and that also seemed to start. But as this wasn't showing any output i tried replacing the "GB-PVR WST SRT Analog" Filter with "WST Decoder"+"Video Renderer", and i can see the window showing teletext fine.

I have attached the logs and hope you can see anything helpful for debugging, i would really like to get this teletext thing working, so i would greatly appreciate any help!
