Hello,

This is my virgin post on GBPVR. I now have a Hauppauge PVR 150 running GBPVR and am reading through this site for install information, plugins, skins, etc. I like what I see so far and am excited to use this setup going forward!

I have read in the announcement forum
(http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=5484)
about a webcam plugin but based on the replies to the announcement it *appears* to only work with MVP. Is this so? If not, then it will work in GBPVR on a PC as well?

If PC viewing is not possible with that plugin then is there a plugin to view webcams in GBPVR on the PC?

I'm using the nvidia purevideo mpeg2 decoders for mpeg2 playback.
For live tv this just works fine, but when i playback a recording a different decoder is used. Why ?
I can't seem to trace back the decoder what is being used, i do know it isn't the nvidia one since the pictogram doesn't show up in the task bar.
I've set the highest merit for the purevideo decoder.
Can't seem to run graphedit, i can't "connect to a remote graph".
When i play a recording in wmp10 then the nvidia ones are being used, but i can't use graphedit on wmp 10 either.
Any suggestions ?

Does anyone know how i can download the Channel icons wihtouth guessing the URL, i know SATLOGO do them but cant find a way to "get" at them so to speak.

How do you name them in relation to GBPVR and the XMLTV file it uses?

I'm having a problem regarding the sound on GB-PVR recordings with my PX-TV402U. I have good sound when watching Live TV. I have good picture, but no sound when watching a recording. While playing the recorded file with another application or on another machine it still does not have any sound.

My playback settings are:
Video Decoder: InterVideo Video Decoder
Audio Decoder: MPEG Audio Decoder (also tried System Default and InterVideo Audio Decoder)
Audio Renderer: SigmaTel Audio (also tried System Default, and Direct Sound: SigmaTel Audio)

My log files and config.xml is in the attached zip.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have recorded a movie in HD through my fusion software (720P 60 f/s). It is mpeg2, it plays fine in Fusion with about 20% CPU usage. It also plays fine with Cyberlink PowerDVD with similar CPU usage. When I play it inside GBPVR CPU runs at 100% and I get stutter every now and then. WMP plays it with 100 % CPU usage too.

I am using Cyberlink for all my video and audio playback. I am just wondering why such a huge difference in CPU usage given that I am using the same player? Thanks

I had a problem that whenever a user logs off WinXP, the GBPVR service restarts disrupting any MVP using the service. It was suggested that I remove the check on "Interact with desktop", it worked but now it removes my MVP Tray Icon and my Shutdown plugin does not appear anymore.

Help?

I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with hooking a Motorola 2524 cable box up to the serial port of the pc to control the channels using GB-PVR

Hi all,
I have a hauppage 150 PCI card in my p4 3GHz system. I went to record a 1 hour program using GBPVR. Settings at medium quality. My file size was 1.8GB. When viewed by GBPVR, it looked fine but using Windows media player gave me problems and the timecode showed only a 27min show. Editing programs such as MPEG-VCR also showed a 27 min timecode and editing gave weird results.

Anyone know what's going on.

I really like what Old Dog has done with Appearance Manager. Is this likely to be integrated into the core of gbpvr and if so will it mean all skins can be customised this way? Would be nice to be able to go into detail settings like change width of coulumns in TV guide etc but realise that might be taking it a bit too far!
