I cannot get secondary menus for burn, etc... to come up. I've tried F11 but all it does is return me to the Main Menu. The video files I'm selecting all existed prior to a recent reinstall of GBPVR. If the problem is with MyDatabase.mdb, how are pre-existing video files 'registered' with MyDatabase? In the meantime, I will record a new tv show and see if MyDatabase really is the reason. Am I on track? Other ideas?

I'm having a problem regarding the sound on GB-PVR recordings with my PX-TV402U. I have good sound when watching Live TV. I have good picture, but no sound when watching a recording.

My playback settings are:
Video Decoder: InterVideo Video Decoder
Audio Decoder: MPEG Audio Decoder (also tried System Default and InterVideo Audio Decoder)
Audio Renderer: SigmaTel Audio (also tried System Default, and Direct Sound: SigmaTel Audio)

My log files and config.xml is in the attached zip.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

GBPVR starts fine on my MVP, but won't start at all on my PC. I unchecked all the plugins in the config except for one (and alternated the one to make sure that the one I selected wasn't the issue), and removed all of the skins except for a test one that I'm using that can't be removed - I get the error, "cannot delete task.png. It is being used by another person or program". Restarting the computer doesn't fix this.

Also, I've got this in my gbvpr.exe.log file:

1/22/2006 9:27:41 PM.781 ERROR [2] Unable to find node: /settings/SpecialElements/SpecialElement[@name="MenuType"]

Anyone have any ideas?

When I'm trying to move forward, say the next day, in the "TV Guide" screen I get an array error. I have included logs and a screen shot.

Is this a plugin or app issue?

Finally got the FM Radio working with my PVR500, but it only works on GBPVR machine. However, whenever I choose FM Radio within the MVP, i can't hear anything, when I check with the GBPVR tray, it indicates that FM Radio has been activated. Is the FM Radio supported for the MVP?

When I view an in-process recording I get a blank screen with audio only. When I try to exit the recording gbpvr pegs my cpu and I need to manually kill the task to exit.

The recording itself is fine after the end of the program. I am running comskip in parallelprocessing.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Its back. I rebooted the box & started an .avi file and the OSD was back.

Strange, unexplainable but who cares! It works!

I'm not sure what caused it but recently I've lost all the OSD and I'm going bananas trying to get it back. Any suggestions?


I'm using an old Radeon 7500 as my video card - its connected via TV-OUT to my TV.


I'm using overlay mode not any of the VMR modes.


I've tried switching between VMR & overlay - no luck.


I've tried switching decoders, I prefer cyberlink's but also tried NVIDIA & Intervideo - this didn't help either.

I have noticed that when I try to set the number keys in the mainmenu.xml to navigate this menu that it doesn't work. There seems to be an overall menu item number that if you press the number it will jump straight to this one.

For example. I set either D8 or NumPad8 as up, 2 as down and 5 as enter, however when I press these keys at the main menu 2 jumps straight to recordings, 8 goes to FM radio and 5 goes to the music library. Is there a way to disable this action?

Only reason I ask is I am using a cruddy USB remote that simply sends key presses and has very few buttons on it (except for the number pad).

I have just reinstalled gbpvr (Latest version)When i go to map the digital channels to epg the channel scan finds no channels, i have not had a problem with this before. The software that comes with my card finds all channels no problem.

I am using a Compro videomate T300.

I am in the uk.
