i disabled the plugin in the configuration and still get the error. i know, it has to do with not having skinned the plugin yet, but it shouldn't kick in when disabled via config-app.

just a minor issue...

two different problems... I had everything full functioning for about one or two days when I bought a wireless ethernet card and a new heatsink. I installed these and ever since then have not been able to use my Hauppauge remote (PVR150) or receive sound when watching Live TV. (All of the new recordings are also soundless.) I have tried uninstalling Hauppauge drivers and reinstalling them. I tried uninstalling EVERYTHING and reinstalling GBPVR even. Still no sound. I don't know what to do.

As for the remote, I have "fixed hauppauge remote settings (45 button)". AFTER installing the new hardware I began receiving a "failed to initialize infrared remote hardware" error message which wouldn't allow me to start ir.exe. After reading a little bit I realized that if I am not intending to use the remote for anything other than GBPVR I do not even need to have ir.exe so I uninstalled all of that. Well the remote still doesn't work.

If anyone can help with either or both of these problems I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I searched the forums and the wiki, but didn't find anything that references the problem I'm having.

I've got GBPVR setup and working fine; it does all of my recordings and works great on my computer. My MediaMVP works fine with Hauppauge's server.

I stopped the Hauppauge services and used config to set the autostart servers to 1. The MVP connects and the GBPVR interface works fine on the MVP.

So here's the problem: I can't run anything on the PC, including GBPVR without first doing an ALT+TAB so the GBPVR MediaMVP Server window becomes visible, and close it. Whatever I run shows up in Task Manager, but doesn't become visible/useable until I close the GBPVR MediaMVP Server window. GBPVR and config both lock up at various points until I kill the MVP Server. Once I do that, they immediately pick up where they left off and work fine for a few minutes until they lock up again.

It would seem that something is conflicting with the server, but I don't have a clue what it could be. Any suggestions??

thought it might have been services i disabled or something, but i tried on a clean install of windows on this thing (hp pavilion d4100e) and same thing. well, to be fair, i didn't try with a truly clean install, but this new install has only the drivers for my tv card (ati tv wonder elite) and sound card (soundblaster live 128) installed.

actually, i get two errors trying to install, the first being this on "component registration", then this, after which the installation terminates. any help would be appreciated, as i have not found another way to potentially force my card to 720x576 resolution outside of gbpvr.

Every time I try to see a DivX or Xvid it stops after 10-15 Sec?
But if I try to see it through the TV-out of the 350 card its play perfectly actual better wuthout Blockiness?

Any Idea why this is working on TV-out and not streaming to the MVP?

Hi all, hoping you can help me out a little.

After much anticipation and consideration i took the plunge and purchased the components to make use of an existing PC as a PVR using the MVP. The PC is reasonably spec'd

P4 3.0ghz with HT
512 PC 3200
40gig HD
1gbit Onboard NIC
PVR150

Belkin Wireless Modem Router
2 x 85mbps Homeplugs (one for the router one for the MVP)

Whilst I appreaciate the RAM and HD are lacking (especially as the HD is from Athlon 750 days) I still anticipated it to run correctly and intended to upgrade these features after checking network performance.

The Hauppauge MVP software worked out of the box, although I didnt have any suitable recordings to test at the time, it worked successfully with WMA audio files.

I keenly installed GBPVR last night and my problems have escalated from there. Aside from the slow interface (which i didnt expect as i read a thread saying that processor speed would solve that) it frequently drops back to the contacting server menu. Live TV and recording playback both failed - both with huge stutters. Internet radio worked initially but often caused the MVP to drop back to the connecting to server screen.

I initially assumed these were network issues so looked up the Tipsters top tips this morning and applied them - no luck - if anything it is less stable and cannot managed internet radio at all now. Additionally Live TV jumps to a blank screen and the MVP stops responding.

I'm desperate to find the root of these problems and fix it. Having read so many good stories about the MVP and GBPVR I can only assume I have poor harware or poor configuration.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Just a bug report:
When I ty to play a divx file nothing happens and GBPVR takes 100% CPU load while going in an infinite loop throwing exceptions (log is 2.5 MB).
I checked the file with GSpot and it complains the file is not entirely correct, although avipreview plays it fine. But in any case it shouldn't affect GBPVR.
It seems that the exception handling logic is not correct.

I been trying to get the software to work with PVR-150 on cable and Fusion5 Lite for OTA HDTV, i get the cable channles and the Digital/HDTV channles without a problem, but I am not able to tune using the MCE remote any HDTV/digtal channels.
I have 2 devices set in the capture source, 2 zip2tv accounts-one for cable, one for digital OTA, and i enabled all the channels. I can use the remote for changing cable channels, but How am I going to use the remote for OTA channels, that are the same number???

oh...I am in the USA if that helps

Here's a very early start to what I hope will become a full-blown Windows forms application that easily lets you work with GBPVR skins (with a WYSIWYG editor, ideally).

For right now, however, it just lets you globally replace font sizes with bigger or smaller sizes (which hopefully will be useful for making high contrast versions of skins). On my to do list is to add a switch to let you specify either a percent increase or integer increase (it just does integer increases now).

anyone know of any easy way to keep track if the visualization is in fullscreen?

im currently using a bool and setting it to true when i call switchInsetToFullscreen(), and setting it to false in the onkeydown method, but not all keypresses seem to exit fullscreen mode.

the reason i want to keep track, is so im not redrawing the screen when you cant see it, which makes the visualization jerky (redrawing the screen every second, to update the postion +" / " + duration of the current music track).
