I've poured over the forum and wiki trying to find a fix. The quartz.dll fix doesn't
seem to be for my case.

My problem is that when I watch liveTV, and then the subsequent recording as well, some channels have really poor reception, as in the pic below. Others just have diagonal non-colored lines while the reception on some pixelated.

I've tried changing variou settings like decoders etc. No change in the lines.

Any ideas? Im giving out torrent invites for any Mahatma that helps me out!

I discovered that web admin's TV Guide display does not correspond to what the schedule in GBPVR shows when shows don't align on typical boundaries. PBS had a program that started about 5-10 minutes after the hour. On the web admin TV Guide it delayed the start until half past.

Is this a well known issue?

I noticed in previous versions of GBPVR that the mediamvp service was built into the gbpvr. However the most recent version doesn't seem to start the service automatically. I find that I must restart it manually if the computer ever gets shutdown. Is there a command line entry I can make or is there something I'm doing wrong?

I'm a bit stuck. I tried using the preset VideOh PCI card in the program, but of course, with this card, there are no channels. Just a single input that varies depending on what you plug into it . When I try to view the input, via Live TV (that the right spot?), it wants channels. One thing I noticed is that when I do the Tuning Assistant, it barks at me if I choose the VideOh card about some TvTuner filter.

I wasn't sure if it was a filter problem, so I used GraphEdit to design a filter system that looks like it works, but I have no idea if I did it right, nor how to apply it if correct. Or if it is even a filter problem.

Just to be clear I can use any remote with a USB-UIRT to both move around in GB-PVR(after mapping some keys) and also to (when watching live tv) change the channels. Is that true? Or do I need extra software?

What's the best software (maybe cheapest/free would be good to) to allow me to take snippets out of a show that I like, so I can put them in my VIDEO folder. E.g. say a live song off the MTV awards.

I have two tuners, one PCI, one USB. If I remove the USB one and stop the services and then remove the USB device, what's the best way to configure gbpvr to temoprarily not use the USB tuner?

I don't particularly want to delete it in the config as I want to re-instate it shortly afterwards, I just want to disable gbpvr from using it.

i have a PVR-150MCE.
at first i found i could use Tuning assastiant. but then foud this could not get the channels (UHF) eg. Prime...
so i used WinTV2k and then tuned it by hand..
I got better results and could get the UHF channels but not TV2.
i tried to map the channels into GBPVR's Config channel tab two ways...

1)
TV1=1
TV2=2
TV3=3

etc
by using the wintv2k presets

then
2)
by using the auctual channel number..

TV1=4
TV2=5
TV3=8
etc

None of which worked!
has anyone encountered this problem?
Or does anyone know a fix...
i thought about using an .exe channel changer to change wintv2K channels because when i change them there they change in GBPVR.
does anyone know how to make a .bat file etc that change the channel on winTV2k?

Hi,

I'm currently in to develop a remote control "plugin" for GB-PVR so you can control it with an iPaq over WLAN.
The idea is that you have a simpy interface on the iPaq too, not only remote control buttons.
The whole thing would constist of three parts:

1. GBPVR Plugin with a simple TCP-Server
   
2. Windows Service with a simple TCP Server too
   
3. Pocket PC Application
   

I was wondering if someone could tell me how would I go about using this program to be able to play my XBOX through my computer? I have the plugs in my TV-Tuner card, what do I need to do. I am really a noob to this so the most specific steps will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
