I dunno what happened! I've all of a sudden gotten crappy recordings with the dvr-ms setting! I checked the multiplex checker utility, and it says that there are no multiplexes in my machine! I thought it said the dvr-ms was there before, but now it's goine. how do I get it back?
It worked like a charm until I reinstalled the PVR-150 driver--because I found a new one came out. The time I reinstalled the driver, timed recording with GBPVR would give me this error message: "Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process id = 0x334(820), Thread id = 0x2b0 (688). " If I don't click "OK" to terminate the application (GBPVRRecordingService.exe) it would keep recording without stopping.
I tried to reinstall GBPVR, or uninstall both PVR-150 and GBPVR and reinstall them, but the problem was still there. Please suggest what I should do. I am attaching the screen of the error message. Thank you sooo much!
I'm currently working on the Files plugin and would like to add a "Please wait. 5 of 6 items copied." type message but unsure how to do it.
Code flow is like this:
User chooses copy on a menu
Itterate over items to copy and send copy commands to Windows.
I would like to show the "Please wait" message between steps 1 and 2. Ie
User presses chooses copy on a menu
Set "Please wait" message to visible (then in render() render the message)
Program itterate over items to copy and send copy commands to Windows.
Hide "Please wait" message
The problem is that the message is never shown because the copy commands seem to take over. GBPVR only calls the render() method after the files copy.
Anyone know if it is possible to force a render call? Or maybe an alternative way of doing it? pluginHelper.ShowMessage() would work but I understand it has problems and shouldnt be used.
I'm developing my first plugin for GBPVR and I'm looking for a little help. I haven't done much gui programming before, so I was wandering if someone could point me to a simple example for creating a selection list. A selection list being the rounded rectangles one sees in the music or video plugins. I looked at the source code for a couple of plugins, but I had trouble decipering the code. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...
Comskip 0.79 build 17 has a new algorithm for recordings where the start of the commercial break is not signalled by a black frame like on some of the UK PAL Digital Satellite programs.
To make this work it is required to have good logo on the show.
To enable the new funtionality set
after_logo=5
in your Comskip ini file.
It is still required to have at least one black frame at the end of the commercial break.
Due to the experimental nature I am eager to receive some feedback (at least one happy user already). There are some untested ideas to further improve the solution
If some of you have recordings with very little or no black frames I am interrested to receive some of your .csv file with a matching manually corrected .txt file so I can extend the processing capabilities of Comskip in this area
I use the excellent XMLTV RT Grabber and have a problem with the import into GB-PVR of episode names. I seem to lose any data, in this case the episode name, after the hypen where the grabber adds series/episode to the title. E.g. as per this entry from the XML file here:

Errors showed up in the gbpvr.exe-1.log at that time. Logs are in the attached ZIP file.
I have been using my main box P4 XP Home for my GBPVR, I was able to obtain a used box which I have installed W2K. When I transfer the MCE-150 to the box and try and install the driver I get an error
"The SystemRoot\system32\Drivers\hcwPP2.sys device driver could not locate the entry point KSRegisterFilterWithNoKSPins in driver KS.sys"
It tells me the driver was successfully installed but when I reboot I get the blue screen of death.
I want to use the Girder plugin to control a Samsung SIR-T150 OTA Digital receiver. I have not seen any info about this on the web, so I will need to do a bit of scripting and programming to get it to go, especially since I will have the antenna rotator commands to deal with as well.
How will the digital channels be passed to Girder? will the major and minor channels be delimited by dashes, (29-1) commas (29,1), or something else?
