I have been using NextPVR reliably for awhile now (v4), but things started getting wonk when switching over the v5. I have had it working, but recently recordings where scheduled, but never recorder nor where marked as failed (seemingly the recording never got triggered).
Since I had both v4 and v5 binaries installed, and a new version of v5 to upgrade too -- I decided to do a clean slate re-install. After re-setup, the guide loaded as expected and i scheduled a current show to see if the recording would actually kick off.
It did, but the .ts file was a length of 0 -- the xml was fine.
Checking through the logs, I found the following key lines:
Code:

It's not 100% clear what the URL that is being refused, but I'm going to assume:
Code:
http://192.168.0.210:5004/tuner0/v4.1
This end point is one of my HdHomeRun Duo's which i can confirm does raise a connection not found error when I make this request (port and context path) in my browser/curl call. Note, the regular HD Homerun TV view client shows the content just fine.
Looking through historical log files - I have never seen a call like this before - so I don't know if this is something to do with the most recent NextPVR release or possibly the fact that HdHomeRun firmware was updated to: 20200225.
I have also attached the full log files -- if that would help. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Is it possible to use the HW150PVR with NextPVR? I basically just want to use the HW150PVR as a way to convert my antenna signal to HDMI to input into my NextPVR/Windows 7 PC.
Installed a clean copy of Win10 on a Dell Server. Win10 fully patched. Installed v5 of Nextpvr. Whenever I go to http://localhost:8866/, I get the following message: HTTP 404 error
That’s odd... Microsoft Edge can’t find this page
Please advise if anyone has seen this issue and how to resolve.
Thanks, filosad
New to NextPVR this year (former WMC). This happened a few weeks ago, and again last night. Both times earlier shows in day recorded fine, then during recording of some shows this happened.
One possibility, I MAY have tried to put the system in Sleep, because the shows were over, but perhaps still recording due to the time buffer I have on them. WMC wouldn't go into Sleep if something was recording. It does appear that both shows recorded, but then were abruptly ended before the end of the recording.
Is there a way to stop the computer from going into Sleep mode if I accidentally or intentionally pushes the button on the remote?
Is there anything I can do to display the status of the recording service at all times? Or, if it craps out to restart it automatically?
What site does NextPVR use to get program screenshot? The site can't find screenshot/info of some basic and well known program like CNN shows and Food Network shows (see attached).
Is it possible to use TheTVDB (Plex uses this service) to get program/shows info?
Hi, I am a long time user of TVHeadend, using DVB-C card in the UK, Live TV, BBCiPlayer and Youtube add-ons. I would like to use V.5 if possible but have some questions.
1. Is there a BBC iPlayer add on, and does it work well? 2. Is there a Youtube add on, and does it work well? 3. I would like to manually edit the tuning files, to add my own, I read there are .ini files somewhere, where are they located on Linux? 4. anyone know of a good Softcam guide?
I have noticed a strange Kodi Timeshift behavior lately. After I have paused TV for some time and I come back and press play again, it momentarily goes back to a previous time to play and then it again switches back to where I was to continue watching...
I can't tell from the logs which is the pointer requested every time so can you possibly take a look and see if you see something peculiar in there?
Logs that have the timeframe when this happened should be in nrecord.log.3 file.
What do you use to clean your remotes? I've always just wiped them down with a damp rag, until now....
My wife is a pretty major germaphobe and she just got over a rare cold. Now with COVID-19 she's thinking about asking her mom to move in with us (out of the senior living apt. that has now started visitor restrictions).
So she wants to clean everything. EVERYTHING. Not that this is a bad thing, but she was going to use a vinegar and isopropyl alcohol concoction to clean the cordless phones and remotes. I think the vinegar would be a bad idea, and I am wondering how fragile the decals on the remote (above the buttons) and the text/symbols on the buttons might be to a solvent like isopropyl alcohol.
Anyway, I thought I'd see if other had experience with regular disinfecting and the durability of labels on remotes.
