I have v5.0.1 installed on a test system running on Mint Mate v19.3 x64.  I have to say you guys did an incredible job making this easy to setup!!!

After installing I launched Firefox and logged in.  I was surprised that NextPVR had automatically found my HDHR tuners on Ethernet (cool!), I plugged in my Schedules Direct info, scanned for channels, did an EPG update and BOOM!  It looks pretty functional.

However, when I tried to test-watch a show from the EPG Guide, it queues for a few seconds with an increasing number (bytes?), then replaces that with red text "Browser blocked video playback" at the bottom of the playback window, which remains black but the timeline progress continues to count up. 

The default browser in Mint v19.3 is Firefox (v71.0).

I installed Chromium, connected to the server, playback works fine there, so seems like a FF setting.  Any ideas?

I can watch and record on Android on my home network but not if I connect via WAN I have remote access enabled and have forwarded the port in my router and its open. What else do I do please?

For those that don't know, many TV channels are changing frequencies.  https://antennaweb.org/repack

In my area, two channels changed last Friday, March 6th, and a few more changed this Friday, March 13th.

I simply rescanned channels on my HD Homerun Devices.  Then I went into NextPVR and typed in the new frequency for the few channels that changed.  Quite simply, if something moved from 44.1 to 25.1, it was an easy change.

How do you know if they changed frequency?  Try to watch a channel...  

is there a way to change the icon of a channel?
if not it will be great to do it on this panel

I can't reading Thai characters in EPG display. I try it on webview and kodi, both of them are in unreading text. How can i fix it.

I'm using nextpvr to get uk freeview dvb-t and collecting ota epg data.
Most genres are correct but all TV dramas are appearing as "Adult Movie / drama".

I would like to map these all to a more appropriate genre (to stop everything looking like pron in the guide).
Is there anyway to edit this my end?
I've seen the "xbmc-genre-translation.xml" file in the npvr public user directory - does npvr read and use this?

Something strange has happened with a recurring (keyword) recording that I have scheduled.
recording was done, transcoded, and my postprocessing.bat was executed to move the whole directory including this recording to another drive succesfully.
Also npvr.db3 update command was updated with new filename based on OID provided to the batchprocessing.bat (%3 parameter), using the below command (which was tested working in the past):

call "C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\sqlite3.exe" "C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\npvr.db3" "update `SCHEDULED_RECORDING` set `filename`='D:%~p1%~n1%~x1' where `oid`=%3;" ".exit" >> "C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\logs\recordings.log"

However, filename field inside npvr.db3 was not updated and it still has the value: [Default]

I am wondering what may have happened (most likely %3 parameter was not correctly populated? but I was not echoing the parameter in the log, I have changed the .bat file now to echo the parameters as well to a log). If so, why?

Please note that this scheduled recording was a special one as the TV played two episodes at once, one after the other (the recording resulted 6GB file as I am also pre-padding and post-padding 1 hour).

From the filename and directory structure, I did not see any episode number created so could it be that %3 parameter was null? (and hence my SQL update failed to locate the record?)

Also, having the attached XML, I tried to change the drive letter and import it but it still was not imported. Any help to import it would be appreciated.

First: I believe this is a much better and useful and simpler version than version 4. especially since you can use it on the a Web Browser.

I was having some issues with Version 4 KODI NPVR Addon. Martin finally helped solve that issue which turned out to be a corrupted NPVR 'Bin' folder.

So Martin recommended to download Version 5 which doesn't use that specific folder. So I did and installed it. This is what happened:

When I installed Version 5 while still having Version 4 installed on my computer:

1) Hijacked my System Tray Icon and replaced with Version 5. So I wasn't able to start Version 4 anymore using the Tray icon.

2) I was able to use Version 4 using my Task bar icon.

3) When I tried to configure Version 5 in Windows, it came up with Version 4 instead. So I was unable to configure Version 5.

4) Sub showed me what to do to resolve that error when I was being helped with Version 4 Thread. He said to uninstall Version 4 but first copy NPVR.DB3 file to Version 5. Uninstalled Version 4 and ran Version 5 installer. Installed without any issues. I did make a copy of my NPVR Data folder in Windows Public Folder. Also created a Restore point.

5) Everything now was coming up to Version 5. I inputted the generic Log in information (admin/password). Log in and was able to configure Version 5.

6) When I got to the "ACCESS" part of the Settings to change my Password and Log in name. I had some issues. I kept getting "failed log in - Incorrect password (original password "password"). At first I thought it was because maybe I changed the Log on name to a personal name rather than "admin". Changed it back to "admin" and still was getting incorrect password. But when I closed the browser again and restarted it. I found out that it finally did change my password to the new password but with the default log on name - admin. So I went back to Settings in the Web App and click again on "ACCESS" and changed the Log On name to the personal name I wanted. Received no message that it was successful. Nothing at all. But when I logged out and logged back on, the default was finally changed to the proper Log on information I wanted.

7) When I started the Desktop App and clicked on "Live TV" and the channel was a channel I couldn't receive, it basically froze with the spinning wheel. Needed to open Task Manager and close out NPVR.  I then restarted the Desktop app but made sure it would start a channel that I know is working and it worked normally. No issues.

So I have a few suggestion from my first experience with Version 5:

1)When Version 5 installer starts its installation process, it should first uninstall the previous version installed on the computer. In this case it should have automatically uninstalled Version 4 but saved the data folder. Thus preventing the previous Version from running on Version 5.

2) The Version 5 installer should automatically copy NVPR.db3 file from the previous version to the new version.

3) ACCESS in Setting needs to have more work done it.

4) Desktop APP should have a timer when trying to connect to Live TV in case it tries to start a Channel that isn't working.

5) The Installer should automatically create a Restore point in Windows if it doesn't do it now.

6)What happens if you forgot your Log on information? How can you reset the Log on back to "Default". Which is something similar that happened when I tried to change my log on information in ACCESS in Settings.

But that is mine first impressions of Version 5.

In my opinion is far superior than Version 4 once the BETA bugs have been resolved.

I have a newly built htpc running Windows10 and Ryzen 3200g on the B450 chipset. Tuner is Hauppauge TV quadHD model 1628.

NextPVR version is 4.2.5(191014)

I'm trying to scan channels, but the country list doesn't look complete and doesn't match anything in the wiki.

I've tried running set to all countries, and each of the first three options under region - none of which make sense to me or are explained when googled. Scan completes without finding any channels.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Log files attached.

After updating to last version 5.0.1.200209 (Windows) starting programs is a bit slow/delayed. Don't know what was changed but before it was working almost instant, now I click on channel and have to wait 10 seconds for channel to show up.
Also every single time when I login to web (localhost) my PIN is automatically reset??? I tried different browsers and I have to set it every single time I open settings from web.
