I have only recently began using NextPVR. I recorded about half a dozen movies from the free to air TV stations. The first two recordings seemed okay. Each of the next three recordings began to have a problem about half way through. The audio remained normal but the video sped up until it reached the end of the recording. A message then appeared wanting to delete the recording. I have one recording left to watch but I am pretty sure the same thing will happen. I still have many recordings to watch that were previously recorded with Windows Media Center. I never have any problems watching these recordings. I believe someone else had the same problem back in November 2019. I followed the various answers but nobody came up with a solution. Hopefully there is someone out there now who has an answer to this problem.
Thank you,
Trevor
I think somewhere in the setting page a button that restarts NextPVR server would be very handy. Along with that maybe a button or option that purges the logs as well?
From the browser I started streaming a live IPTV channel in v5 and within a minute or so the image freezes. I changed the default streaming profile to 240p from default to try to reduce the load on the CPU in case that was the issue. In this example I'm using my Linux setup but I see the same issue on my Windows 10 v5 setup which has a much faster CPU. Also, it doesn't seem to matter what channel I watch the stream always freezes soon after starting.
It's only in the browser that I have seen this, Kodi and Nlite work fine with IPTV.
We record Property Brothers, and they periodically repackage reruns as new episodes (they call them unpacked and have some behind the scenes stuff). I understand why this shows up as a new episode to record, but since we don't want to watch them again I decided to cancel the recordings that are "unpacked" but leave the recurring recording as is to pick up actual new episodes. The problem is that the day after I cancel the individual recordings they come back (I assume when the EPG update runs at night). So right now my only option is to put a note in my to do list and cancel the recording the day of the episode.
I've attached the log that starts at midnight today (I canceled the recording yesterday), although I can't seem to find where the EPG update is happening, so maybe I'm looking at the wrong long. As an aside, on 5.0.1.200209 running in Docker the button to get the logs is generating a 500 http error. So I grabbed the log by hand and zipped it.
I am trying to set up a new v5 server on Linux after running an old v4 under Windows 7. The last obstacle I have before going live is to get PostProcessing.sh to handle calling HandbrakeCLI to convert to mp4 to significantly reduce the file size.
I have the script successfully doing the conversion, and deleting the .ts file because in previous posts on the subject I was told that it would automatically handle finding the .mp4 file. When I deleted the .ts file, the recording disappeared from the list of recordings on the web interface. If I look at the SQLite database, the record is still in scheduled_recordings with the .ts filename but it doesn't show up. So maybe NextPvr is hiding files that "don't exist".
In v4, I had a Delphi program that handled this stuff and it updated the database with the new filename even though I was told it wasn't needed. I'd like to just handle this all in PostProcessing. I guess I'll have to figure out how to update the database if necessary.
im a complete newbie to this software, I know others that have it installed and when i install on windows 10 pc I am missing items to be able to set it up, I can install v4 and it works, but when 5 is installed it looks like this under settings and when i select log i get this. please see attachements
In 4.2.5
Something odd happened where my screen is black when recording and playing of live channels. Not sure if it is codecs, permissions or something else.
Nextpvr will not play channel 9 and 11 but will play channel 7 and 5. Signal appears to be about the same on both channels. On the second computer it will play all channels fine and the signal is not quite as good is on the first computer that will not play them. Also i can record program and it will not play back looks the same as it dose on live TV.A little sound & no picture. But if i open that same recorded video with a video player ( VLC) it plays find.I can also open the same recording on another computer with nextpvr and the same recorded video plays find. But on the first computer the video will not play with nextpvr or Win TV.
