No volume slider in Web Player
Posted by: happyuser - 2020-02-28, 02:42 AM - Forum: NextPVR Support - Replies (1)

Hi,

When I click on or hover over the volume button in the web player, I don't see a volume slider (red box). I have to enable "Show Volume Control" to see the HTML player volume slider (green box).

Is there a way to show the volume slider in the red box? Is this a bug?

Thanks

  Remap epg source by group

Is there a way, or special keyboard key, to remap the epg source by group rather than one channel at a time?  Thanx.

Question Migrate recordings (existing and pending) from 4.2.4 to 5.x?
Posted by: streetchariot - 2020-02-26, 08:46 PM - Forum: NextPVR Support - Replies (4)

I thought I had it right, but i still had 4.2.4 installed with 5.x. Now that 4.2.4 is gone, so are all of my recordings and pending recordings. Is there a way to move them so that they are in 5.x?

Really like the 5.x interface and the way it works with Kodi (better video quality and faster load times) but not having any recordings show and having all of our scheduled recordings go missing makes me nervous!

Thanks for all of your work on this Sub! Happy to provide more feedback as I find any issues!

Photo Feature request: Add a selectable guide in the Player screen
Posted by: happyuser - 2020-02-26, 07:03 PM - Forum: NextPVR Support - Replies (9)

Hi,

I am wondering if it will be possible to add a selectable guide in the Player screen so I can switch channels without going to the Guide screen. Basically I want it to work like Sling / Youtube TV. See attached screenshot for my idea.

Thank you for the great application and would love to hear your thoughts!

How do I cancel all future recordings of type of "All episodes, All Channels"? I want to delete all recordings for a show I set-up to record that way.

  Connecting to non-standard port
Posted by: Tunes0710 - 2020-02-25, 03:23 PM - Forum: NextPVR Android Client - Replies (15)

Hi all,
How do I connect to a remote NextPVR v5 installation on a non-standard port via the android app?
I've tried
ip
ip:port
ip port

the port is correctly forwarded as I can access via a browser externally.. I just can't seem to connect remotely via the app.

Also, when I'm on the same lan as the server, how comes I don't need to enter a pin or user/pass to connect?
Isn't that a security issue? Not that I could do much if on someone elses network apart from cue up a few recordings they may not want... but shouldn't there be something in place?

Cheers :-)

  webroot / nginx config
Posted by: Kurosh - 2020-02-25, 03:09 PM - Forum: NextPVR Support - Replies (2)

Hello,

I'm trying to get nginx reverse proxy in front of NextPVR. It works WITHOUT a webroot, however when I try to create anything it fails.

For example...

https://mydomain.com > works and the NextPVR login screen displays
https://mydomain.com/npvr > does not work, nor does ny other acronym i've tried

HELP! Can I set a webroot somewhere, or tell me one which work (if hardcoded)

  Recording to a network drive
Posted by: silver - 2020-02-24, 09:51 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (7)

I'm aware that I can use a network drive as the recording directory as long as I use UNC paths and edit the configuration file manually.

However in cases like this, does NextPVR record the file locally and then transfer to the network location after it's complete?

My concern is that the network has a wobble half-way through the recording and it ends up getting corrupted.

(my backup plan is to set up a scheduled task which checks if NextPVR is recording and, if not, moves all the recordings to the NAS)

Is "delayed start" required for the NextPVR service?
Posted by: silver - 2020-02-24, 04:56 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (4)

My HTPC is set to run Kodi as soon as the user logs in. Unfortunately this always causes the NextPVR add-on to fail to initialise.

The issue appears to be that the NextPVR service is configured for a delayed start. If I delay launching Kodi for 2 minutes then everything works fine because, by then, NextPVR is up and running.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't reconfigure the NextPVR service to start immediately?
