Not a real high priority item, but something that is keeping me from using the Live TV mode. When using the Lifeview Walker and Livepreview it seems as though it never actually gets to Livepreview as it takes it a bit for the audio and video to catch up, and then it works for about 12 seconds or so, and then seems to go into slow motion. I know it worked in the past but it's been ages since I actually tested Live TV so I don't know when it stopped working.
I can send logs later if you need, but just wanted to put this out there so if you have a chance to hook up your Walker you can do some testing with it.
I noticed CompUSA is selling a couple new TV cards, and both look suspiciously like a re-branded Hauppauge card. They're pretty cheap too. Does anyone know anything about this?

Low hardware requirements too (400 MHz system), typical of hardware encoding. $39.99.
The second card is a Pro version which features a different remote and claims to support recording in MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4 and AVI formats. http://www.compusa.com/products/product_...pfp=BROWSE Again, the card looks like a Hauppauge card but the remote is unique. The claimed native support of MPEG4 and AVI formats is really unique. Hardware requirements are a bit higher with this one (800 MHz system) but still low. $49.99

hey peeps! having a bit of a strange problem with my pvr150 card since i did a full reinstall of my system a couple weeks back. everything works fine except i don't get sound when going into live tv. recordings work fine, with sound! but watching live tv = silent... i'm baffled and out of ideas as to what silly thing i've done to cause this.
i've looked at the hauppauge website and i found something saying i need to connect a cable from the pvr card to my soundcard. i can't remember having had that before, and i can't remember removing it... can anyone with the same kinda card confirm whether i need a cable or not?
if anyone has any good ideas what might be wrong i'd be very happy to hear about it!

My First post here .A big thank you for your software .It works like a charm with my PVr 150 MCE for the apst one year.
Recently i installed Xp again and all the drivers again and i am facing 2 minor but nevertheless problems.
1) when i shift channels there is a short disturbance , its like few white lines appear on the screen for 1-3 seconds, some times its very irritating , i guess it might be the problem with the driver ?
2) I record channels using High Quality option thru manual recording.
Of late(not sure if it existed before or only after new install) i notice that my recorded program quality was very good , but the eyes of the character was like cat eyed.
Rather it was as if in night vision when you see lions or cats eye , the characters have similar eyes.I hope i could explain my problem.This problem was there only in some cases and not through out the program.
3) The third problem is a very strange one , if i schedule a recording and then watch teh same channel on live TV , the live tv plays the part that has been recorded.
For eg if i start recording from 10-11 and then i start watching live tv at 10:20 , then live tv plays me the show from 10:00 which it has recorded.So i usually dont watch anything while i record
I like the pvrpowertray alot, and I have made the LED-monitor. It works very good!!! BUT my PVR stays under the tv, so I like the PVR to hibernate when it is not recording. When I run the pvrpowertray, the pvr don't go into hibernate, (maybe bc or the disk access). Do have an solution??
Hi all, in order to use my PC as a PC and GBPVR machine at the same time, I use the on-board sound with GBPVR, and a USB sound card for the other PC sounds. The new version of GBPVR uses Windows Media Player for playing mp3's, and because of my setup I had to disable this via the following config flag:
So now my mp3's play back fine through the onboard sound, but when I go to use the FM Radio, it still comes out the PC speakers? I can't seem to find a similar flag for FM Radio, is there one?
I am trying to listen to my local NPR station, but for some reason I get no sound through the MVP. It works when using the host pc, other .pls files work through the MVP, and the gbnetradio-2.mp3 file that is created sounds fine when played through WinAmp. How do I diagnose this? I have attached the .pls file I'm trying to use.
Hello All, very intrigued with the possibility to create my own pvr using GBPVR.
I didnt see the Viewsat 2000 Platinum FTA receiver supported using the PVR150. Does anyone know if it can be done. I also didnt see IR Blaster support for Viewsat, does that mean i'm outta luck?
Please tell me it can be done!!
Also should add that on my viewsat I pick up Diznet channels from 61.5/110/119 as well as Beiixpressview at 91.0....hope this helps..
I'm having a problem where anytime I schedule a new program to be recorded using the "Advanced" setting, my default config options in the priorityrecordings.xml are overwritten.
I currently have the following at the top of my priorityrecordings.xml:

After I add a program, the following appears at the top of my new priorityrecordings.xml:
Also is there a way to set the defaults for when I create a new entry using the "Power" option? Maybe a config file that would set the default to be "Any Channel" "Any Time", etc. Right now it gets tedious to change every setting manually through the GUI and I don't want to have to explain the DW how to manually edit xml files.
