Set up myvideos plugin and all the accompanying apps. Works great except I can not figure out how to burn a 'recording' to a dvd. I have read the two 'how-to's' but still can't get it. What I am doing is this:
highlighting a recording and hitting ctrl-k. when I go to mydvd it shows the episode there, and displays the % of dvd left. Then what do I do? I hit 'copy dvd' but then it just brings up a menu saying dvd to dvd copy and nothing else. I see two arrow's on the sides of the dvd to dvd words, but when I hit left and right arrow key's nothing happens.
The burning for dummies says:

Does this delete the underlying file, or just remove all the DB entries??

I know it takes some time to start timeshift mode, but I liked what my Adelphia DVR did. At channel change, it would show the video right away, but you'd have to wait a couple seconds to be able to pause it. This is really the only significant advantage to their DVR in my opinion.

Ability to enter channel in the guide to go to highlight that channel would be nice too.

What program or plugin can I use to encode DVD to my PVR's hard drive ( the problem is I have many DVDs like Family Guy and Futurama that have 6 episodes per DVD, is there anyway I can get each episode as it's own mpg or avi file?

when I try to update my EPG I keep getting this message.
Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly.
I am using hauppage 150 and zap2it this problem started on last Friday. I have been able to update before I have been using this for about 10 days now and then all of a sudden nothing.
The administrator at GBPVR left me the following message.

Edit config.xml and set <SaveZap2itXML>true</SaveZap2itXML>. Next time you click 'update epg' it'll create a c:\zap2it.xml file which contains the data returned from zap2it. Zip and attach this file.

I did change the false to true. At the bottom of the post I will leave a sample of my EPG settings.

I am not sure ware this c:\zap2it.xml file is I can’t find it on my computer.
When I did a search on my computer for this file the only files my computer comes back with when I search for zap2it is the one below. And the file name is owner@labs.zap2it[2] under
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Cookies\owner@labs.zap2it[2].txt am I missing this file mentioned above?

Does anybody know ware to find this file and how to attach it? Not very computer literate. Does anybody see any problems with my settings? I am hoping somebody knows how to fix this problem.

I'm using the freecom dvb-t usb stick with the yakumo drivers

This works fine with yakumo software and show shifter, but like h3ll can i get gb-pvr to work.

Under the config capture sources i've set it to bda-recording plugin, and that it is a freecom and use all countries/regions settings

i've tried using the bleb-uk listing and the dvb-t built in epg and none will work

bleb-uk plugin takes ages to run and does update the gbpvr.mdb database and when open this in access can see all the information for relevant channels its downloaded, yet when run gbpvr and try to look at tv guide or live tv it constantly says nothing there and to re-run 'update epg'

when do a rescan it just picks up a lot of unknown stations.

another thing i noticed was that i uninstalled it, rebooted and reinstalled and it still had scans from previous installation, so i uninstalled it again, rebooted and found that when you uninstall, it doesn't actually delete most of itself, and leaves a fair chunk of rubbish on the drive

also the processes running are extremely high upto 99% sometimes, surely it shouldn't use this much processing power.

Unless anyone can advise of what i might be doing wrong or how to get this working correctly, then it looks like i be looking for an alternate piece of software that works on my setup.

for some reason the VA Panel slows down my main menu to a crawl. When I go into any other menu (e.g. exit, my music) the menus are fine.

I know it's the VA Panel because when i remove it, the menu is very snappy.

It was working great for a while then suddenly it caused huge slow downs. It's never been the same since.

I would like to "reinstall" the VA panel, but don't know what components they are (what dll's to I have to replace?)

On the same note, how do you "uninstall" VA Panel.

I have just installed version 95.16 of GB-PVR. I experience two problems.

1) My PC will no longer go into standby. I have tried to disable the screen saver but that did not make any difference. Previously I was using version 94.13 and that one worked as expeced. It seems, that closing the Recording Service makes the PC go into standby again, however, that does not give musch meaning

2) When I select Live TV, I get a black screen and choppy sound the first time I select Live TV. I press ESC and select Live TV again and Voila! Picture and sound without any problem! This also happended with 94.13.

3) The old problem, that selecting a source connected to the S-Video input is black and white sometimes, is there any progress on this topic?

My config is: ASUS Pundit-R, Windows XP Home Danish, SP-2 plus updates. There has been no updates installed from 94.13 to 95.16. Hauppauge PVR-350, newest driver installed.

How do I make use of FFDSHOW when playing back DVDs using GBPVR's default DVD player? My understanding (from searching the forums) is that GBPVR will make use of FFDSHOW automatically (if it's installed)

This does not seem to be the case with me....... To validate GBPVR was using FDDSHOW during playback, I enabled the OSD function in FFDSHOW, which puts up a OSD in the corner of the screen with FFDSHOW statistics, and started a DVD. I don't see an indication that that FFDSHOW is being used...

Can anyone help me fill in the blanks? Thanks in advance!

is it possible for the dvd subtitles to remain in the same place, regardless of the aspect ratio you are using?

i thought this was hardcoded in the dvd, but the other day i saw a dvd player with a zoom function, and the subtitles didnt move, it just zoomed in on the picture.

this would be handy if you're watching a james bond and zoomed in to remove the black bars.
