I have V0.95.16 and Win XP, SP2. This morning, I attempted to upgrade the EPG. I use Zap2it. I received the following message (which never happened before): "Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG Source settings, and try again".
I checked the source, and it seemed to be OK. Incidentally, I always have to disable Norton Internet Security so that the EPG can be updated.
Becoming frustrated, I uninstalled/reinstalled GBPVR two or three times. No help.
I notice that sometimes, Config hangs up, and I have to get out with the Cntl, Alt, Delete.
I also notice that when clicking on Capture Sources, the number of entries of my Cable line increases from time to time. In other words, Cable appears 4 or 5 times. Most of them are empty, when I click on Edit.
Any suggestions?

I just wanted to thank you for mentioning the MX-500 remote. I've been looking for a good general purpose universal remote. When I saw that you were using the MX-500, I looked into it. I figured it you were using it, that it would be fairly compatible. I received the remote last night. After only a couple hours, I have to say that it's a great remote.

Let me start by saying what you guys have done here is trully impressive! The base application, wiki, forum and support is remarkable!

I've been tinkering with the program and lurking on these forums for about 2 weeks now. Everything works great, but like many of you, I think we enjoy tinkering with the system more than actually using it! That said, I've got some minor questions/issues I'd like to address.

Let me start by saying that my system barely meets minimum requirements, so I appreciate that some of my issues might be due to this. I am running a PIII 733 with 384mb of ram and a Hauppauge 150.

TV Guide
- under Config > Channels, what is the purpose of the Favorite flag?

- is there a way of changing the order in which the channels appear in the guide without changing the original channel numbers?

TV (Live and/or Recorded)
I am using a basic cable feed.
Video - Channels 2 thru 6 have a noticeable lower picture quality. I have read that the frequency for those channels is different. I realize this isn't a GB-PVR issue, but are there any solutions?

Audio - I don't get any audio on certain channels. I have read that this is a driver issue for the PVR150 and that there is a beta test driver out there. I am usually reluctant to use beta drivers, but these are important channels. Any feed back on whether this beta driver is 'safe' to use?

I can't get the Theatre Listings plugin to work. It comes up saying "You have no shows to" in the black box to the right. On the left I see the "By Theatre", "By Show", Refresh" and "Main Menu" buttons. When I try and press one nothing happens. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

I'm having trouble getting avi files to play. When I try and run them MVP goes blank and then reboots and I get the following error message on my computer screeen: Application failed because xvidcore.dll not found. Where do I get that file?

I've been around GBPVR for a while as my dad has an MVP and my brother is currently using this for his media centre ... what I'm trying to do is use GBPVR as a front end for an In-car PC i've just built ...

Everything seems to run great - I've added a button on the front screen to initate my Sat Nav software and am happy with most things ... one thing I can't do however is use My Music fully. The reason for this is that I'm using an 8" touch screen monitor so can't "Scroll down" through my music library lists as I have no "Down Arrow" Key ... this means I can only see the 1st few titles in my library ..

What I need is a skin that has up/down scroll arrows so I can navigate around ...

Anyone any ideas?

I recently purchased a Fusion HDTV USB device for my PC. Since the software it comes with for viewing is quite sluggish I thought i'd give GB-PVR a shot. I recently downloaded gb-pvr and configured everything. Except when I click the 'Map digital channels to EPG channels' button I get the following error:

(GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly, and not already in use. (Reason: Failed to locate configured BDA capture device)

Hello everyone,

I have just discovered GBPVR and think its great - by far the best program for anyone with an XCard like me. I also have a dbox2 which makes the dboxrecorder plugin look very interesting as well.

Not having a remote control was a bit of a pain so I have splashed out on a Redrat, but dont seem to be able to get it to work! I have added the drivers etc, and GBPVR can learn remote commands, however the remote will not contrl GBPVR and if I go back in to the remote menu in the config program all the remote commands seem to have been "forgotten".

This is probably something basic, can anyone help?

Hello all,

I'm having a problem with snow on the S-Video out of my evga Fx5200 card. I've been searching the forums, and the closest thing I've seen is a mention of power (i only hav 2 cards - the evga, and a hauppage 150).

When I use the evga to display on the monitor, everything is crystal clear. When I display using the s-video out, I get a light, slowly pulsing snow.

Any ideas? I've played with the settings I can for the display; but haven't hit on the write combo yet.
