Some kind of personal TV guide: suggestions/list of shows based on a search through the TV shows from a (user)predefined list of keywords. Would be nice. I am always looking for some kind shows, like terror or war or crime it would be nice if the search for these keywords could be done automaticly.

Saves time and i dont have to look at the names of all those stupid shows out there ;-)

I have had some requests for changes. They have been implemented including some other small improvements. It can be downloaded from the link below or here

Changes in 0.79.10
- Remember to us a 4 times higher non_uniformity setting when recording HD!
- Both the edl file and the txt file have as last entry a one frame size commercial at the end of the recording
- Now you can set the cuttermaran command options in cuttermaran_options in the ini file
- The ini file is first searched for in the directory where the mpg file resides so you can automatically have multiple ini files.
- The current block is highlighted in the timeline in the debugwindow
- The csvout command ine switch is working again

I've noticed that the picture running through the PVR-150 and out of my gefx5200 isn't as good as straight to the TV from the Diectv S-video. I'm not saying it sucks. What I notice in all video output is the compression blocks in darker areas of the video. LiveTV/DVD/Recordings all the same. I'm using a composit cable from the gefx5200. I'm going to upgrade to a DVI soon to see if that helps. It's Nvidia version 77.

I have just installed GBPVR on new machine, and am getting an unhandled exception as soon as I start mapping the digital channels to EPG. It's GBPVR 0.95.16. I installed the Cyberlink 5.0.1307 mux (THmpgmux.ax). It is a Nova-T PCI and I have installed the Hauppauge 2.106.2351.0 drivers. I have downloaded the RT XMLTV file. The PC is running Win2003 server. I had everything working previously on a different WinXP PC but I think it is a driver problem rather than Win2003 ?

Just installed GB PVR. Set everything up and am using a PVR350 and Intervideo codecs/mux. I'm not utilizing the 350 for encoding. I've been getting very slow reaction when selecting to watch live tv. It takes anywhere from 30-50 seconds for video to start up when I select to watch tv. Since I'm not familiar with the settings in GV PVR, I went to the wiki and followed the setup the best I could. Does anyone have any pointers I could use to tweak things to make them 'normal'? Help is appreciated.

I run my music off of my linux file server box (seperate from my PVR system) via mt-daapd. Generally this is more convenient than having to mount network drives ot whatnot...

So could integrated functionality and/or a plugin be written to scan the local network for daapd servers? (and be able to play music from them)

I'm not much of a code shark (especially on the Windows side), otherwise I'd offer to write the plugin myself.

Hi, I am using a Theater 550 card, and have the need for hte live preview mode of this program.

Using the encoder passthrough works fine (with the small delay), and "none" works as well (slightly out of sync audio; not a problem though). I need a software deinterlacer and I would like to use the "Deinterlace Filter" (which I understand is part of the old Dscaler code).

Anyways, whend I choose that option, I get sound but the display is completely black. Is it broken for everybody or have I messed something up?

I bought the external WinTV USB 2 and it does not appear in the Capture Card Type field in the configurations. This is the only problem I have setting this up is there something i need to download or is there a setting to use?

I just bought a PVR150 and was told (over at the AVS forums) to use GB-PVR rather than the Hauppauge software. So before I install anything I wanted to know how much of the PVR150 software to install. I guess I need to install the drivers but not the application software? I certainly need to be able to use the IR blaster to control the cablebox, which is the whole reason that I went with the PVR150. Does GB-PVR handle that also?

My PC has an ATI AIW-9600 and associated catalyst software. Since I really only use that as a video card (it can't control the cablebox and therefore is useless as a PVR), should I remove that software? I still need the TV Out use of that card to play back on the TV since the 150 can't do that.
