  GB-PVR hardcoded: Sleep Timer
Posted by: ShiningDragon - 2005-12-15, 07:53 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (9)

Hi sub,

is it possible to integrate a "sleeptimer" for LiveTV? Sometimes i looking TV and sleep some Minutes later. The PC is then running NonStop at fullpower.

It were nice, if u could enter a timeperiod (15, 30, 45, 60, 120 Minutes) before GB-PVR stops automatically the watching of Live-TV or Radio/NetRadio.

Only plugins like these above, not the whole Program. A Shutdownmanager is uninteresting, the standyby-function within Windows is uninteresting too.

Only a Sleep-Timer would be good :-D

channels not sharp at all and out of tune :(
Posted by: zeltak - 2005-12-15, 07:01 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (12)

hi all

i have a wintv pvr 150 and finally (with HUGE and i mean HUGE help from sub-THX alot Smile) i got my HTPC working perfectly. the only problem know is that whenver i open gb pvr , the channels start blurry and
black and white and it takes 5-8 seconds until the chanells are tuned
properly. after that it works well sometimes and sometimes stays very blurry and not sharp at all. when i close the program and restart it then the whole tuning proccess starts again. has anyone come across this?

thx to everyone for their help and to developers of this awesome program!!

Zeltak

  change all quality setting?
Posted by: Bittermormon - 2005-12-15, 06:48 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I found that unless I used the highest quality settings, my shows were too dark when played on my MVP. Since I have recently found how to adjust the brightness, I would like to lower all my recordings quality. Is there any way to make everything record in medium quality, no matter what I originally set it for?

TIA, I would rather not have to go through and change each reoccuring program manually. Thanks

Zach

  'keep recordings' option
Posted by: nv40 - 2005-12-15, 06:47 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Whenever you do a season record, it has the option 'keep recordings', and you can select a number, or 'all'. My question is, if you select a number (let's say 5), what does gbpvr do once you have 5 recordings of that show, does it stop scheduling new ones, or does it record new ones and overwrite the old ones? Sub....if it doesn't allow you to start overwriting the oldest file with a newer one whenever you have a limit set, do you plan to add this feature as it would be very useful?

  xvid processing
Posted by: #66 - 2005-12-15, 06:38 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (14)

See that the are lots of post about setting, however, I'm not even there yet!

Tried processing to xvid but got error message ffmped.dll not found. I thought that this was installed with the latest version.

If if missed something obvious, sorry!

  Poor Sound quality in recordings.
Posted by: Pioneer4x4 - 2005-12-15, 06:29 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I'm running 95.16 and it seems that since this version (could be a coincidence) all new recordings have a static like popping sound that varies throughout the recording. I am fairly positive is is happening on recording, not on playback. I hear it locally, or via MVP or even via ORB. I hear it when doing Live TV locally, even if I unplug the sound cable from my cable box, so it is not coming down with the show.

I do not hear it when using WinTV2000 for live or recorded TV.

Would any codecs come in to play when recording? I though that GBPVR just records the mpeg stream that the card captures/creates.

  Basic VideoArchive question
Posted by: LilY0da - 2005-12-15, 05:22 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (1)

Why is it that when you delete a file from VideoArchive, it stays in the VideoArchive database?
Is it configurable?

Transcoder can't delete MPG file -comskip not finished
Posted by: LilY0da - 2005-12-15, 05:01 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Title says it all.

I'm running comskip from postprocessing.bat, since I also use rectracker.

Anyone has an idea about a workaround? Would starting comskip in high priority make it more likely it's finished before FFmpeg?

Here's the log

I always listen to music in random mode. It would be great if MyMusic could have a 'random over whole libary' mode. Kinda like iTunes's 'party shuffle' and MusicPlayer2's random feature.

  Out Of Sync
Posted by: Huugs - 2005-12-15, 03:55 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I have the nova-t pci and am having trouble with the live tv video being out of sync with the audio. Sometimes ahead sometimes behind. It has been happening for definate with 9514 and 9516 not sure about before that. Seems to happen when I used processor hungry apps at the same time as watching live tv.
If I exit to the menu and then go back to tv as you would expect it is back to normal but will fall out of sync again.
Is there anyway to make gbpvr drop frames to keep the video in sync? Or is there another way of doing it?

I am using the nVidia Purevideo codecs which claim to be the best and lowest cpu usage but its still happening.
