I have GBPVR (09516) running with a Plextor PX-M402U and I cannot change channels in Timeshift mode. Channel changing works fine in Preview and I can select a channel once from the guide. When I try to change channels while viewing in Timeshift Mode, the channel does change on the cable box but the video jumps back to the point where Timeshift Mode was initiated. If I don't try to change channels I can watch the first channel I select from the Guide for a while but then get kicked back to the main menu.
My troubleshooting points to a problem when GBPVR changes buffer files. Upon channel change a new buffer file is created and begins to grow but the client continues to play the old buffer file from the beginning. When the end of that buffer file is reached, I get kicked back to the menu. It also looks like the graph file continues to point to the old buffer file.
I have tried using several decoders and have installed the Intervideo DVD Creator to get the correct Mux. I have disabled pretty much all unnecessary services on the HTPC such as anti-virus, firewall, etc. I have opened security all the way on the directories used by GBPVR.
As a side note, I have also configured another PC as a client and I get exactly the same behaviour as stand alone.
GBPVR does look like a great program and any help getting past this problem would be greatly appreciated.
I'm looking for a "faq" or info on how to get this program to work as a simple TV viewer in the USA, cable, using a Hauppauge PVR-150.

i got a 450 with 256mb ram and a 16meg video card for free and i had and i was wondering what the bottleneck is if it isn't the entire system, it runs ok but still laggy.
last sec thought. i thew xp pro on it, would 2000 run it faster?
Getting it to work with DirecTV's receiver model D11 is a total %@$%^@!!! Yep, just got DirecTV today because my new, homebuilt PVR was working so well I wanted to start recording everthing. Then a dark cloud settled upon me in the form of the @$#@$@# D11 receiver they installed today.
Basically I cannot get the IR Blaster on my PVR-150 to control the D11 at all. There is not a lot of info that I can find on the net to correct this. Hopefully someone here knows how to get it working or get me going in the right direction, but this is just killing my whole PVR experience. If I cannot change the channels on the D11, then I cannot record different channels while I am away (stating the obvious because I am smoking mad).
sometimes I get all the bbc channels but not ITV or any radio.
Other times I only get all itv and all ch4 but never bbc.
My digital freeview PCI card gets all the channels with its own software but not many with GB-PVR. Another thing I am noticing is it will scan from 1 - 57 but it will get the same channles over and over again so I end up with 9 channels but with lots of copies of the same.
I really like the layout of GB-PVR as it is easy to see on the TV, but setting this software up is a pain in the butt. I have been working on this now for 13 hours and I am still not getting there.
I have no sound on recordings, or when I do timeshifting! Fine sound on LiveTv, and I don't have any problemes i WIN2000.
I have the latest drivers for my TV-card, and I have tried alot of diff settings Codec.
I just blew up my main pvr box and have been setting up GBPVR on another box. This one has XP MCE. All items seem to work except net radio. After selecting a station, it starts buffering and then says Failed to Connect to Radio Station. It will then tell me what song is currently playing sometimes. (if it didn't connect, then how does it know what is playing? Odd) I don't know if this is an MCE thing or something else. I do not see anything in the logs. (where should it show up?)
Whenever I go into XRecord's menu to the Watched section to delete an episode I want to re-record, I select the show, hit delete and get "Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." every single time. I then have to close and re-open GBPVR to continue working. It does end up deleting the show, but I have a batch of shows I want to re-record and was wondering how to clear this up so it doesn't take forever.
I have installed the lastest ffdshow but no matter what settings I change, there is no effect in GB-PVR playback. Does anyone have this working and could I get some help setting up my system? I'm trying to use it to get rid of that top scan line that looks like a bunch of dots and is very annoying on my PC.
