I just installed video archive and it shows up in the config and I pointed it to my recordings folder, but it doesn't show up as a menu item. Isn't it supposed to? What am I doing wrong?

After upgrade to the v0.95.16, when I try to start the GBPVR it starts the GBPVR MediaMVP Server instead (the small window to serve the MediaMVP box). The same occurs if I try to start the GBPVR MediaMVP Server, so I have no way to use the GBPVR on the PC. I have 1 server configured to serve the MediaMVP, and this is working well. Any idea?

Is there any update on the possiblity of the ATI WOnder Pro being supported? I Saw it supported a few ATI so I downloaded and installed it. I like the looks of it but can not watch or record TV. I would rather not buy a new tuner but if so would I better with 150 or 250 or 350? Thanks for the Help

I just saw, that gb pvr seems to be able to capture 2 tv programs at the same time. So far, I have been using mhtpc, with which I could not record 2 tv programs which are broadcasted directly one after the other.

My system specs are:

pundit r
2.6 Ghz
256 MB
120 GB
1 TV Card PVR 350
2 TV Card Old Hauppauge 878 Chip set

I also cannot record with the 878, yet I am using the 878 to grab the epg signal from my cable company.

Now I am taking into consideration to change from myhtpc to gb pvr.

First, I will upgrade the ram to 512 MB
Second, I am willing to trash the 878 card and purchase another. Which one would you recommend?

Is anyone successfully running Hauppauge PVR150MCE on Windows XP? I've got everything going and can watch all of my channels on GBPVR (couldn't get it working on the suckful WinTV2000), however XP won't recognise the IR Blaster that comes along with it. I suspect that this is due to the PVR150MCE coming with an external USB breakout box for the IR whereas the previous version had this on the card. As PVR150MCE assumes that you have MCE it assumes that MCE can handle this. XP can't (or can't for me anyway).

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any ideas? The Hauppauge site is light on info.

Thought I'd bring this over to the developer's forum for discussion. You mentioned that it would be necessary for skins to use a common set of names in order to work with the Appearance manager. If you can specify what the Appearance Manager is looking for, I might be able to create some XSLT's that can be used to convert a Skin.xml file to the comptaible format.

Just need to know what the program is looking for in a skin to make it comptabile.

I know Reven does not have an MVP but I am interested in getting it work on the MVP. I just installed the plugin and it works well on the PC but the button does not even show up on the MVP screen. Any ideas? I am using the Christmas collection skin. (it also does not show up on the blue skin)

Maybe this is explained elsewhere, but nevertheless. There were a few posts of people telling volume controll with the Hauppauge remote works in recordings, but not on music. I figured out how to get both.

In the irremote.ini (windows directory) in the GB-PVR section VOLUP is mapped to + en VOLDOWN to -. Simply put a semicolon in fornt of both lines (can be found at the very end of the irremote.ini filein the GB_PVR section) and the remote will use the default controll for the volume defined elsewhere in the irremote.ini.

Remarks:
After this action press the + on your keyboard untill full volume and leave it like that (you can now controll volume with the remote).
Restart the Irremote software to activate the changes.

ive added dvd menus support to my vids 5, but alas i suck making graphics so i need some help creating a few standard menus (want about 3-5).

ive made it so it will automatically generate a title list menu, a title information menu and a chapter list menu.

eg say you burn 4 episodes of "Enterprise"
menu 1 - lists the 4 episodes
menu 2 - shows info about the current episode and has the buttons "play", "chapters", "return"
menu 3 - the chapter list menu, with thumbnails/screenshots generated at each chapter point.

it uses a template format very similar to gbpvrs standard skin format (the skin.xml files) but my own code since i had to do some very boring special things to get it to work. i can handle all the code part, but i need a few images. namely
- 3 backgrounds (for each menu)
- 3 selector images (normal, highlighted, selected), maximum of 4 colours for each image (dvd limit)

the selector images are pretty much say just a box around the selected item, and selected and highlighted are just 2 different colours.

i want some really generic ones that you could use for pretty much any dvd, but its possible to do some custom ones eg a "Enterprise" one.

the available information for each screen is
menu 1
- title for each video (text)
- subtitle for each video (text) (episode name)
- titlesubtitle (just "Title - Subtitle") (text)

menu 2.

the backgrounds are the most work, just need some that look good . the menus will automatically be generated without any user interaction, i got a really simple ugly one working ill post some screen shots of that tomorrow (4:21 am here).

I recently installed ver 9516 and subsequently ver. 9516-1 . My problem is this: I can't figure out how to actually open the interface. Whenever I click on the shortcut for gbpvr.exe it starts the recording service, as shown in the list of windows processes, but how do I open the actual interface? When I first installed it I could get it to open up, but not now and I can't figure it out. Ive uninstalled it and installed it several times. I'm pretty certain I have everything configured correctly in the config app as well. Why would it work initially and not now? So, again I can get gbpvr to show its icon on the bottom right side of the windows toolbar but I can't get the interface to open. What am I doing wrong?

I really appreciate any help; this program looks perfect for my needs and I really want to use it. Thanks in advance.
