I recently installed ver 9516 and subsequently ver. 9516-1 . My problem is this: I can't figure out how to actually open the interface. Whenever I click on the shortcut for gbpvr.exe it starts the recording service, as shown in the list of windows processes, but how do I open the actual interface? When I first installed it I could get it to open up, but not now and I can't figure it out. Ive uninstalled it and installed it several times. I'm pretty certain I have everything configured correctly in the config app as well. Why would it work initially and not now? So, again I can get gbpvr to show its icon on the bottom right side of the windows toolbar but I can't get the interface to open. What am I doing wrong?
I really appreciate any help; this program looks perfect for my needs and I really want to use it. Thanks in advance.
Im having some difficulty installing MyVideos. I have unsucsessfully tried to install it before but now i've come back to it but im having the same problem.
Basically im not getting the MyVideos button on the front of GBPVR.
I installed by copying the five MyVideos files into my GBPVR root directory, put the plugin file in the plugin folder and then copied the "keypad", "My Videos" and "OnScreenKeyboard" folders in the blue skin folder into my blue skin flolder in gbpvr.
I think that my problem is the way im installing the skin. I haven't messed with skins before and don't understand how the system works.
I have ensured that MyVideos points to the MyDatabase file and i have registrerd a virtual root folder where my recordings are kept. (No actual files in here, only sub-directories)
I cant believe that even by following the dummies guide i cant figure it out, christ - what does that make me?!
I'm a fan of the CSI series and I've recently just noticed that it was not recording my favorite program anymore. For some reason, in the EPG, it used to be called CSI , now it is called C.S.I. . The scheduler did not pick it up and therefore did not record the show. This is the basic difference bewteen a human programming a VCR and a computer doing it. I would not even conciously notice the difference in spelling but a computer is too 'dumb' for this sort of thing. Is there anything that can be done about his 'error' ?
I have also noticed that if a show contains capitals where it did not contain them before it DOES record it e.g. CSI recording csi wil also record, the difference is that the resulting .mpg file will go into a seperate subdirectory which can be a nuisance.
my install dir was "h:\program files\devnz\gbpvr" that made conversion not work, could you add the "" around the install dir or something so it works to convert?
I reinstalled the gbpvr to h:\gbpvr to retify the broplem but now that I upgraded to 95.16 Im left with a mess, it seems it deleted all exefiles and such from h:\gbpvr, but it copied the 95.16 files to h:\program files\devnz\gbpvr?!?!?
Hi I am new to GBPVR, just having come over from another commercial package.
First things first - wow the TV on this package is fantastic.
Now for the problem. I cannot for the life of me get the Channel on my STB to change when I am recording. Live TV is no problem.
I have read through the fixes and have seen solutions for the PVR150 - however I am using the PVR500MCE.
I have 1 tuner configured to connect to the external STB. This tuner is configured to use the external .exe channel changer. I use the event.exe from GIRDER to change my channels (I do this because I am using Girder V4 and haven't had any success with the GBPVR Girder plugin).
The 2nd Tuner is configured to get OTA channels and doesn't require a channel changer.
Can anybody please advise how I may be able to fix this???
I really love the quality of the live TV - I just need the recorded TV to record the right channel from the STB.
I've got an issue with the FM radio. Usually, when I select a station to play, nothing happens.
But ALWAYS if I quit gbpvr, restart the recording service, enter gbpvr agin, select the station again, the playback starts.
Another hint that might help: while the FM radio playback is not working, and I check the recording service status, it says "sleeping"; I suppose that means the recording service is not busy, so theoretically it should be able to use the FM tuner of my PVR350, right?

I'm thrilled about the web scheduling functionality of gbpvr. It works great and looks good, too.
The ultimate feature though would be if I was able to access the web scheduling via my blackberry with it's built-in browser.
The problem is, that I can access the login screen, but the actual login doesnt work. It always returns to the login page after a login attempt (and yes, I'm dead sure I'm using the orrect un/pw combination). Any clue on what th issue might be?
I'm using a red remote serial with the command line application, this in it's self works fine if I type commands manually
The problem I have is the EPG has numbered my channels from 2-86 and not the channel numbers used by sky. I've changed all the channel numbers in the channels tab to match so the TV guide now looks right, but when I click to change channels it sends the EPG channel number to the ir blaster not the TV Guide channel number.
How can I get it to use the TV guide channel number? or update the EPG channel numbers!
Since I live here in Germany and we do not get any country radio stations it would be cool to record a mp3 file while listening to net radio at home and then burn it to a disk to take with me on the road.
