Object reference instance error

Hi,
new here Tongue

I tryed GB-PVR first time today on a fresh WinXP Home computer, and I started to configure it. Once I was finnish I started it up and I see an error, "External program error" or someting like that. I just press the mouse and then the program started. And then when a pressed "Live TV" there is an error saying "Object reference instance", (translated from swedish so a dont really know what it is in english).

If i scan for channels i find i cuple of them, but not all. And i can see the tv program in that little tv box, so everything should work just fine.

OS: Win XP Home
Card: TwinHan DVB-T

Edit: I solved it. I found i thread with a similar problem and the selution there was error in a Plugin. So a took away all plugins exept Live TV and TV Guide and then it workt. Note, i havent added any plugins, I only have standard that came with GB-PVR.
Kinda i stupid of me not searching the forum hard enough to find that thread.

What does "GB" stand for?

	I assume that "PVR" stands for Personal Video Recorder, but what does the "GB" mean?

	When I update EPG , I get the following error: "Failure in ChanelFactory:toreChannels()..." I have attached the config.exe.log file. Thanks.

hey all, i updated the cdplayer-plugin. download it from the wiki:

you see, the buttons have names now and i've added 3.

for the translators: you'll have to include following strings into your translations:

buttons
- "Open Drive"
- "Close Drive"
- "Play CD"
- "Stop CD"
- "Exit"

messages
- "no audio cd"
- "Please insert CD."

be aware, if you update from a previous version, install the update-version! otherwise your cdplayer-database will be cleared.

2nd tuner recognised but can't use

2nd tuner recogised in recording service status but not selected for use.

I just threw in a second Twinhan DVB-T and got it all set up through config.

Now if I record a program the recoding servive status comes up.

Twinhan1 - recording blah blah
Twinhan2 - sleeping.

Great. But then when I try to watch another channel or start another recording it gives me the messages like.

Do you want to stop blah blah or cancel. i.e it dosent seem to sucessfully send the new job to the new tuner. Similar thing on live TV. (Sorry I left the logs at home)

Any ideas?

	Hi sub, would it be possible to have a function like the screensaver that will hibernate the PC after a specified time with no actions? I know theoretically Windows can do the job but for some reason i don't understand it never do the job correctly if it does it at all.

	Hello sub! I have a problem. Everytime i use the NetRadio, it create a file within my %WINDIR%/Temp Directory. GB-Radio0?.mp3 is it's name if i remember correct. This file grows, grows, grows and grows. Why? And why will be created more files like this? If i close NetRadio there is a file with a growing Number etc.! Is this "normal"? How can i disable this, i couldn't find anything about this.

	Is someone able to make a plugin for GB-PVR which would display the wikipedia? I think about that you go into the menu "Encyclopedia" or something like this, enter a phrase within a textfield (big one for tv) and get the right site from the Online-Wiki displayed. Without big surfin' or something like this.

	Hello again sub, is it possible to integrate a display for the Volumecontrol within GB-PVR? I would be happy to see a statusar if i raise or lower the Volume, like the driver from Microsoft for their Keyboards does.

Hi sub,

is it possible to integrate a "sleeptimer" for LiveTV? Sometimes i looking TV and sleep some Minutes later. The PC is then running NonStop at fullpower.

It were nice, if u could enter a timeperiod (15, 30, 45, 60, 120 Minutes) before GB-PVR stops automatically the watching of Live-TV or Radio/NetRadio.

Only plugins like these above, not the whole Program. A Shutdownmanager is uninteresting, the standyby-function within Windows is uninteresting too.

Only a Sleep-Timer would be good :-D
