Sub,
I'm lazy and haven't figured out exactly how it works so...does the duplicate episode handling leave any duplicate episodes in the Recordings section listed as "Failed"? Assume for all cases, here, that the shows do have identifiers that are actually unique.
Hey all. I just setup a brand-new box and loaded GB-PVR. Everything works fine except I get a "Object reference not set..." when trying to watch live TV. I have not messed with any of the config really except loading my PVR 250 into the list and setting up Zap2IT. Please help
After some problems with hardware I have compleately reinstalled my PC.
GBPVR works fine now, but the sound is funny. It's like a bathroom.
I have installed FFDshow as audio and video decoder. Can that be the reason?
usualy the OFDB lookup works fine, only if there is an umlaut un the title, there are no results. If i only search for the part of the title (without umlauts), the result are shown with umlauts. It seems like the search request can't handle these chars.
when watching live-tv, and the end time of the current show has passed, normally a new live-tv file should be created.
In the logfile of the recording service, this can also be seen:
Code:
07.12.2005 10:45:17.492 VERBOSE [130] currentFile: E:\Wolffs Revier_2_20051207_09551045.mpg
07.12.2005 10:45:17.492 VERBOSE [130] About to switch live tv file to: E:\SOKO 5113_2_20051207_10451135.mpg
The above lines repeat every 30 seconds.
But the problem is, that the method that will handle a file change (IRecordingSource.startNewFile) is not called?
I think I've found a couple of annoying bugs in GBPVR v0.95.14:-
I use the Hauppauge 45-button remote that came with my Nova-T with GBPVR and over the last few days have been experiencing a really annoying bug. Often, pressing "OK" causes the cursor to jump UP before the OK has effect. Switching off "direct access to Hauppauge remote" in config seems to have reduced the problem somewhat, but it is still definately there
What really makes this a total hassle is the fact that there is no delete confirmation in the Recordings plugin. So I go to watch a show I've recorded, press OK and then the damn remote jumps UP and deletes what I was going to watch. This really is incredible frustrating - there doesn't appear to be confirmation dialog (or is that just my custom skin I wonder?)
The other bug is that quite often GBPVR crashes immediately after the delete with an error message that I can't unfortunately read on my TV. What seems to happen is that the deleted recording and its folder doesn't disappear from GBPVR until you exit and restart.

Hi I am interested in how you have set up your player and how it works?
Do you have the same interface as on the server?
or do you use explorer or webinterface?
are the recordings made on the server or on the player and saved to the servers harddisk?
I want to be able to play and record my DVDs to HD and then copy them back to DVD. Am I on the right track?
Here's the status:
My Videos v4.1.0.10 - done
MyDatabase.mdb - done
DVDDecrypter - done
dvdauthor - could not find a windows version at the site given - finally found some GUI version () and it installed OK but I don't think this is a command line console app as expected. Should I copy all the files into the same directory with the rest of these files?
dvddecrypter - done
PVAStrumento - done (just cpvas.exe)
mkisofs - found cdrtools-latest.zip here: http://smithii.com/?q=blog&from=20 - Should I copy all these files into the same directory with the rest of these files?
And I haven't even gotten to configuring batch files, etc?
Is there some other way to just copy DVDs? I really don't care about VODs, ISOs, yada, yada...
