I've been using gbpvr for a while now, but maybe i never noticed this problem until recently (i thought it just started...but looking back I'm not sure). I only use it to record shows...i never really watch live tv with it. I've got an amd 1600 xp-2 120 gb hard drives-628 MB ram-winxp pro sp2-pvr-150. Whenever i record or watch shows that don't have fast motion, everything is fine....but if I try and record or watch something like a football game...it's very noticeable. Whenever the screen moves quick, or someone moves fast....it's really blurry, like the computer can't keep up. It looks like the motion blur option in video editing software. It pretty much makes recording or watching my college football team (GO LSU) aggravating and useless. I've read around the forum a little and can't seem to find an answer to this. At first i thought maybe my computer wasn't fast enough, but i have 2 hard drives---one of which is dedicated for just recording, over 512 megs of ram, and winxp pro. The only thing i was worried about was my athlon 1600xp, but since I have a hardware encoder I've heard you only need like a 800 mhz proc to do this. Can anyone point me to some things to try?????? oh...and this is a dedicated box, there's nothing else running on it.
It addresses most of the issues raised since the v0.95.11 release a few days ago. As always, I recommend you backup your files before upgrading.
From the change.log file:
Quote:2005-12-3 v0.95.14
- Fixed a bug where the task image animation could cause an 'resource already in use' on MVP/PVR350
- Animation now need to be explicitly enabled for each skin in the "main menu\skin.xml"
- Made a change so that you can have a mixture of Twinhan DVB-C/S/T cards in the one machine.
- Fixed a bug with netradio in the last release.
- Now coping with incredibly long parental rating codes that are found in some XMLTV files (eg 'drugs-enofalcoholmisbruik'). I didnt anticipate parental ratings would ever be this long (a 'no one will ever need more than 640K' moment). Every other one I'd see was like 'M' or 'PG13' or "R18' or other short values.
- Fixed a bug where GB-PVR would lose focus when transcode starts for playing an AVI file on the PVR350.
- Fixed a bug with the 'volume up' key.
- Fixed the default Sony PSP conversion command line so that videos are fully compliant.
- @taskImage can now be used in the composite image definitions for buttons on the main menu for the normal vertical menus.
- Fixed a bug with guide colouring only working on first genre of multiple genre shows.
- Added API for other plugins wanting to show small music visualizations window.
- Fixed some flawed logic in the EPG Updater to ensure the TV Guide is not emptied unless the show information has been successfully received from the configured EPG Source. This was causing some headaches for zap2it users where connectivity issues are common.
- Fixed a bug with DVB EPG which cause a stack overflow.
- Much improved performance for zap2it EPG processing.
- Fixed a bug with teletext not working for DVB
- Fixed a bug with the 'delete confirmation' popup in the recordings screen
I have just installed the latest version and when I try and watch TV the channels are not tuned properly. There is no image or sound and they just show wavy black and white patterns. The Hauppaugge WinTV2000 app has no problems, channels are tuned perfectly. I am running XP SP2 with a Hauppaugge PVR250
The tuning assistant provides no help, it tunes the channels to the exact same wavy bars.
I followed the quickstart guide, there was nothing about tuning channels.
As the title suggests. I would like to have all recordings in their own folder, titled by showname AND episode name.
If there is currently a method to do this, please tell
RenameRecordings just isn't reliable enough.
I am getting the following error when the Weather plugin attempts to refresh information for my U.S. area code:

When I load the URL into my browser, I am redirected to the URL http://weather.msn.com/local.aspx?wealoc...c:USMN0632, which is for U.S. 55906 (still in the same city).
My plugin version is listed in my signature. The on-screen error I get is Sorry - Unable to retrieve information Is there an update I'm missing, or should I just update to 55906 to see if that works? Thanks!
I like the encoding to divx/wmv option but would like to be able to select shows to encode manually
I record some shows that I just watch and then delete, some shows that I keep and some movies that I record to dvd. for all but the movies I'd like to be able to select encode to wmv and left the movies intact.
I use GBPVR a lot in Windowed mode, and EVERYTIME i switch programs I use ALT-TAB which takes gbpvr out of LiveTv mode. Is there a way to disable the key now and if not in future releases!
I know this is not gb-pvr related but i hope it is ok to ask this in here.
I currently have gb-pvr running on my desktop pc connected to my mvp downstairs via a direct cable connection. I have just been given a P3 laptop which I know I can not use for gb-pvr but would just like to use it for looking in these forums etc. At the moment I have broadband (UK) which I connect to using a USB modem which I have had no problems with for 2 years. What I would like to do is set up a wireless network aswell as the wired for mvp. I have been looking at an ADSL router + pc card for laptop setup, but I don't want to get rid of my USB modem if I will have problems with a router. What I would like to know is can I just get a wireless pci card for my pc and a pc card for my laptop and continue to use my USB modem for internet access or do I have to go down the router road. I have been looking at getting a netgear ADSL router (DG834 GT) and a netgear pc card (WG 111T) so if anybody can advise on this I would be very grateful.
I'd like to see GBPVR have the ability to move converted recordings to a predetermined folder location. For example, if I were to duplicate AND convert my recordings to into the PSP format, I'd like the duplicate files to be moved to a specified folder of my choosing. That way, when I plug in the PSP to transfer some shows over, I only have to look in one place rather than each individual show's folder. Am I making sense?
