PC shutdown hang caused by GB-PVR?
Posted by: Pinan - 2005-11-29, 07:15 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi all. After doing a clean install with XP Home, all was fine until installing GB-PVR (which is great btw). The PC now hangs at shutdown for about 30 sec. Before it was only about 5 sec. Is this a known bug/thing please?

Nothing shows up in Event Viewer.

Hauppauge 350.

  Config Problems
Posted by: UFGraymatter - 2005-11-29, 05:50 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I keep getting an "Incorrect Parameter" error when trying to click on livetv. I have set up most everything else. I am using a Radeon 9200 radeon card. I downloaded moonlight mpeg decoder, but that option is not on the list for software decoders. Am I missing anything else?

Thanks

Big Problems in 0.95.11 - Related to .NET 2.0?
Posted by: Chris.Day - 2005-11-29, 05:30 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (21)

I installed .NET 2.0 a last week, and it didn't appear to cause any problems with GB-PVR 0.94. Yesterday, I upgraded to 0.95.11 and now I have serious problems getting the DVB EPG to update correctly. Everytime, usually when it's about to write the EPG data collected, I get this error:

Quote:Setup Error:
Failed to load resources from resource file
Please check your setup

I've since removed .NET 2.0 and reinstalled GB-PVR 0.95 clean, but the problem persists. Is it possible that .NET 2.0 is causing the problem, and uninstalling it (.NET 2.0) hasn't really removed all traces?

I'd really like to get 0.95 working because it seems perfect. Smile

GB-PVR 0.95.11 "Object in Use Elsewhere"
Posted by: adi2004 - 2005-11-29, 04:55 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (14)

Here is the gbpvr.exe.log after GB-PVR crashes when accessed by my MVP, as discussed in the release announcement thread.

This took me about 15 seconds to generate; just power on the MVP, wait for the GB-PVR main menu, push the down arrow key ten times or so, then push up arrow a few times and bang! Sometimes it takes more or less keystrokes to achieve the same effect, but the outcome is never in doubt Wink

The error dialogue cannot be dismissed. The only recovery is to power off the MVP (from the remote) wait a while then power the MVP back on.

  Newbie ... help with config
Posted by: rone - 2005-11-29, 04:26 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Well....I'm new... well not that new. I have managed to set up my system to watch & record with PVR150 / Win Tv. That was easy. All I want to be able to do is use GB-PVR as my main interface (software). I can't get passed the CONFIG screen. It keeps asking me for EPG info ... do i need to have this? Besides all the other tabs in the CONFIG panel. If any of your answers to this proble are too long in explaination.... Is there a manual that I can download that takes me through the steps of the CONFIG panel? Here is what my system consists of:

Foxconn motherboard
1GB Ram
100GB SATA HDD
Nvidia 128MB Video with s Video out / composite
PVR150 Tuner with remote
Intel P4 2.4 Ghz

Thanks in advance!!!

Ron

  XRecord and duplicates

I have a scheduled recording set up for the 3 Stooges and not to record duplicates. From the log it looks like it's scheduling them but they never get scheduled. Any ideas?

Any XP Themes designed for TV viewing?
Posted by: CaptainVideo - 2005-11-29, 02:23 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Are there any resources out on the web for people wishing to customize their display for use on a TV? There are lots of little annoyances (mostly involving fonts that are too small) which should be fixed with an XP theme with fonts and colors designed for display on a TV.

Thanks!

  Newbie question
Posted by: firehound - 2005-11-29, 02:05 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (5)

I have searched the posts with no luck so here it goes. I downloaded my pictures and my database as instructed. I added my pictures in the plugin section of the config utility with no problem. I cannot however go into any of the plugins and get to the settings? All the plugins show up but remove and settings buttons are not accessiable! Right now if I open my pictures from the main menu I have it directed to open Picasa2 so it is working that way but that is not how i would like it. I'm sure there is something in the posts already so even a point in the right direction would help.

Thanks

Jim
