  Zapimport
Posted by: spyder40 - 2005-11-23, 09:55 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - No Replies

Anybody having problems with zapimport the last few days? It seemed to quit Monday. EPG is updating fine but zapimport is throwing an exception regardless of when I run it.

Blaster stops working after watching rec/vid
Posted by: #66 - 2005-11-23, 08:35 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Had my set setup working for about a week now. Working pretty good. Have a 150 card.

After watching video or a recording the blaster dosen't work in LiveTV. Have to restart GBPVR. (this is all I need to do, no restart of IR) All the other remote functions work.

On another note, any users from Norway/Sweden using sat card with Canal Digital?

  comclean & comskip
Posted by: dreamscape - 2005-11-23, 08:22 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (6)

alright, i'm using comskip .64, it detects commercials, and from comparing what i see it's right....

i then run comclean on the mpg, and it gives resulting cutpoints, etc.. which are also right...

i then watch the output file and there are commercials. not like it missed something, but more like it never removed anything.

looks to me that everything is working correctly, but it's just not doing anything.

anyone have any idea whats up?

  No DVD sound
Posted by: jkbanman - 2005-11-23, 07:30 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I have ripped some of my movies on to a storage server. When I play them with powerdvd on the box that they are located on everything works fine. When I try to play them thru GBPVR on my HTPC box there is no sound. I am using Nvidia Purevideo decoder, Cyberlink Audio Decoder (came with Powerdvd 5). I have also tried the nvidia audio decoder and same result.
The drive is mapped to where the movies are stored as well. The 2 computers are hooked up at 100mbps.
The movies are ripped into the .vob files using dvd shrink. How can I fix this?

  Navigating through recordings
Posted by: TheShadow - 2005-11-23, 07:15 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (8)

I would like to be able to navigate to a particular point in a recorded show and start watching it there. I know that I am missing something but I just can't seem to figure this out. ....Thanks

I am looking for a progress bar so that I can see relative movement.

I have just set up a MediaMVP that connects to my main PC that running gbpvr. I have resolved all of the hibernation issues and have a pretty stable solution. I am using the Remote Control that came with the MediaMVP.

can I splice the infrared remote receiver to extend length?.
Posted by: scott - 2005-11-23, 06:38 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (4)

I've given up on my problematic MVP and will instead run S-video cable based video from my computers' video card to the TV upstairs. I've research s-video and it appears that it can support suprisingly long cable runs http://www.cinematography.net/Pages%20DW...Length.htm

Anyway - I also need to bring the remote thing upstairs as well. To save money, can I just splice into the existing cable with something like non-stranded copper bell-wire? I don't image that it's carrying too sophisticated of an electrical impulse, but I thought I'd ask before snipping the wire!

Thanks!

  Happy Thanksgiving
Posted by: ydekmekji - 2005-11-23, 06:08 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

In the United States, we are celebrating the Thanksgiving Holiday. In light of this holiday, I want to publicly declare that I'm Thankful for:

  • Sub -- who has made GB-PVR a great entertainment center for all of us
  • Reven -- For having worked hard on all the My... Stuff (and for the now defunct ME Experience Skin). These are well produced plugins.
  • Jorm -- for the Theater listing and for connecting it with trailers... that's the bomb! Also for the Xrecord and its related stuff. A great program.
  • Jeff -- for the weather plugin which keeps me ahead of the game...
  • bgowland-- for the sudoku plugin to keep me entertained for hours...
  • My wife -- who lets me be a GBPVR junky
  • All the gbpvr addicts -- who respond with ideas and questions and suggestions that make this so fun and such a good product.
  • The world of TV/Internet/Music -- for being so much more enjoyable since gb-pvr
Happy Thanksgsiving!

Xguide not displaying all channels - comcast
Posted by: tevbill - 2005-11-23, 05:01 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (8)

I think it began when I upgraded to the Xrecord plugin that displays 8 channels in Xguide and I have since upgraded to the newest xrecord.

I'm sure that channel 50 is selected in the config app / plugins / Xguide configuration.
I have removed and added all channels from the default guide I use (all channels included - no filter) in the config app.

I get all the channels except 50 (Arts) in comcast, it just shows a blank row where the background image is displayed instead of show information.
The regular TV guide displays channel 50 so I know I'm getting the information from zap2it.

I've just been living with it for a while but was wondering if anybody else noticed this or know a resolution?

thx

  VMR9 Problem
Posted by: ah44 - 2005-11-23, 03:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I have configured windows to boot into Gvpvr, but it keeps saying that VMR9 cant run, try another renderer. The thing is, once i start my computer normally it has no problem running with VMR9.

Is there anything I have to add on startup to make VMR9 work with boot into gbpvr?
