placemarkers : to be able to put a placemarker @ one point and one @ another point to view in a loop.

slow motion : hit pause and press ff or rew for slow motion.

ff in less than 10sec. : press ff or rew for a smaller skip size down to 1sec.

Anybody set up a DISH Network configuration ?
Posted by: popolopopo - 2005-11-02, 03:26 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (14)

Hi guys,

I'm about to switch from Directv to Dish Network.
I would like to know which configuration were successful with Dish receivers.
I currently use a Hauppauge 150 on windows 2000.

Which receiver should I use :
Dish311 ? this is the basic one, only one tuner and one tv output.

Dish322 ? this is the one I want, it has two tuners and two tv-output. Allowing to watch TV while recording, I guess.

Also, anybody tried to make a combo GB-PVR + dish DVR ? I don't know if that's possible or useful, but if somebody did it, I wonder what he thinks about it.

Thanks, and long live GB-PVR !

  MediaMVP w/ Emuzed MAUI-III
Posted by: gnutech - 2005-11-02, 02:06 AM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (3)

I know that the marketing verbiage says that the MediaMVP will work with WinTV-PVR encoders, but it also says that it will play most other MPEG-1/2 video files. That said, has anyone used the MediaMVP with an Emuzed MAUI-III PVR? How did it perform?

Would there be any hangups using the Emuzed MAUI-III PVR encoder with GB-PVR?

Thank you for your assistance.

Respectfully,

Gary

FM radio records/plays back last channel tuned.
Posted by: reboot - 2005-11-01, 11:24 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

As the topic says. FM radio doesn't tune/play the selected station. Instead it plays the audio from whatever the last channel tuned in Live TV is.
Any ideas?

  Music Library Question
Posted by: ViperDragon - 2005-11-01, 09:03 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (5)

I was wondering if there is a way to have the current MP3 files playing from Music Library (the one installed with GBPVR) to show on the main menu screen so I know what's playing. Thanks!

  Add channels and change order
Posted by: peterh - 2005-11-01, 08:25 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi all,

I'm in UK and have built a DTT recorder using Nova-T USB. We are getting some new channels (ITV4 for one). I've added it manually and downloaded a logo and added an entry in bleb channels - so I have the correct logo, but how do I sort the channel order to make it appear where I want it?

TIA

Peter

  Screen Saver quirk
Posted by: DebbieGibson - 2005-11-01, 06:59 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

Is there some way of when exiting from the screen saver that it will return to where it was when the screen saver started, and not always force it back to the main menu?

Also, I think on a related note:

When you are watching a show and you dont hit any keys on the remote, as soon as the recording finishes, the system thinks that the screen saver should be activated. The screen saver comes on. When you press any key on the remote, it kicks you back to the main menu, and not to the recording menu for the last show you were watching.

If you do happen to press a key while the recording is playing and the show ends, it stays where it should.

Anyone else seen this ?

Thanks!

  Near end of recording glich
Posted by: DebbieGibson - 2005-11-01, 06:52 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I am tring to figure out why, when playing a recording, and you fast-forward a bit, the recording will act as if it reached the end.

Let me explain more.

Lets say I am watching a 30 minute recording. and at 26 minutes into the recording there is a commerical, *but* comskip missed it, and I fast-forward one time (60 seconds), the recording will end. Just as if it reached the end and exited. I know there was at least 4 minutes, minus the 1 minute from the ff, left in the show, but gb-pvr thought it reached the end.

I deleted the comskip files from the directory and tried again. Same thing. This happens on most, but not all recordings. Also, if I dont skip ahead near the end of a recording, it plays fine. Could there be a problem between where gb-pvr thinks the end is, and where it actually is?

Hope I havent rambled!

Thanks all!
