Has anyone done a DVD cataloguing plug in? I have far to many DVD to put on the HDD but would like to have something in GBPVR that I can keep a record of all my DVD. Would be good if it showed details such as the cover and who stars and synopses etc like some of the web based cataloguing databases.
My card on its own software pulls in some 40 stations (video and audio) but none of the setups within the BDA Device Configuration gets more than 5 or so. I am in the Granada catchment area of the UK on the Winter Hill transmitter which is not in the configuration settings. Can I access this transmitter and how? Tks
Downloaded and installed VideoArchive plugin last night. Using latest 0.9.13 gbpvr. Ran the video archive utility, hoping to move a lot of my recordings from a full drive to an empty drive. It found one folder with 3 files in and then finished. This was the only set of files created in a folder before I removed the tick to create new folders. All my mpg files (and comskip txt files) are in the top level folder, and not in sub folders. Did a test and created another sub-folder with old mpg files in, and the archive utility moved it. Should the video archive utility find and move these ? If not, is it possible to change it to do this ? I couls of course be doing something wrong !
Results:
1) teletext subtitles work pretty good while watching live TV on CRT
2) there are no .srt files generated :-(
3) teletext subtitles get aborted as soon as time shift is activated. They only resume after I switch back to watching live tv on CRT. Even in that case, I have to switch channels before teletext subtitles are reactivated
@sub: if I can help you with debug-info or special test-scenario's, please let me know!
I'm writing to complain about GBPVR's intergration with a MVP. I just got my MVP 2 weeks ago - Plugged it into the tv and LAN and turned it on and it worked better than expected straight away - There was no Drivers needed to be installed, I didn't have to play with settings, I didn't have hours trawling through support forums etc. All and all it is working to and beyond my expectations and I am absolutely stoked to be able to playback in the bedroom now and the WAF is VERY high on this too! My big complaint is there was no challenge to it whatsoever, half the fun is getting things going - once they are going they get boring!
Excellent work on this side of things as usual sub!
When restarting my server I had to kill the GBPVRrecording process.
After the restart all recordings were deleted from the database (luckily I had a backup of the database from a few days ago and restored most trough export-import in hte setup utility and renaming the files in the mean time).
Any idea what could have caused this? The log file unfortunately stops before the time I killed to recording process.
Ok, I threw this out over at usb-uirt forums, but no reply, so I thought why not ask here too.
I'm about to go digital terrestrial (moving away from cable, and analogue will shut down here soon), so I'm looking for a set top box, available in Sweden, that can be controlled either by usb-uirt (preferred) or by hauppauge pvr-150 (or any other way, by all means, but I don't want to spend a fortune on this). The box I'm most interested in is the Dilog dt-355 (because it has gotten very good reviews, especially good for areas with weaker signals, they say), but other boxes would also be possible, I guess.
Anyone has any experience with these and can confirm a combination of hardware that works?
