Right now I have one pvr150 card and GBPVR uses its IR blaster to control my dish network receiver. I have a second dish network receiver that I would like to control so I was planning on buying another pvr150. Will this work? Can GBPVR differentiate between the two IR blaster and use them independently? Or should I buy a 150MCE and a standalone IR blaster.
BTW, the remote isn't a big deal because I plan on using an MVP for my second room.
I recently bought a WinTv-PVR 150 and I'm running GB-PVR, which I think is a great piece of software. I do have a few newbie questions though :
1-Do I have to leave the Hauppauge Ir.exe program if I want to use the remote (45 button) with GB-PVR ? I like to keep my computer running fairly clean so I don't like two many program running...
2- Can I power-on GB-PVR with the Hauppauge remote ? How ?
3- Let's say I'm in the TV-Guide (zap2it - canada) and I see Prison Break is playing at both 8:00 and 9:00 with the 8:00 show being a rerun and the 9:00 show the new episode. I select the later show and proceed to record it. If I go into the reoccuring recordings section afterwards, GB-PVR will have scheduled the two shows to be recorded, not only the one I selected (9:00). What I am doing wrong ?
Has anyone had issues with processing Auto_Convert AutoMPG Recordings to (ffdvideocnverter) then under that in red text it reads This transcoding option requires elecard MPEG 2 filters to be installed
Then the same for DVR
then when i try to go into the settings for those i get Error: in C:\Progra~1\fddshow\ffdhow.ax missing ConfiguyreVFW
??? any ideas ive installed the elecard files from that site?
I've recently set up a GBPVR system with a Hauppauge Nova-T PCI and a MediaMVP. All is working very well, it really is an excellent system which seems extremely stable despite pushing the little MVP to its limits....
Just a couple of quick questions though.
Firstly, I have an old Aver TV Studio card which has a BT878 chip on-board which can be used for watching analogue channels and has an S-Video input. Reading this forum I note that it should be possible to get this to work utilising the software encoder plugin. Question is, will this give results good enough to be sufficient to grab programmes from a standalone satellite receiver or similar? If not, what is the minimum hardware I can get away with for this task, which I'll rarely use but may come in handy occasionally?
Secondly, are there any pitfalls associated with using two non-matching DVB-T cards? I've seen the Twinhan PCI card going cheap but will buy another Hauppauge if using one of each is going to cause a problem.
my remote seems to work fine when all of a sudden it stops working. i have narrrowed it down to the fact when i press a button that doesnt work ie-prev. ch" buttom the remote stops working. when i restart the pc all is good.

Hej Have been using the default Blue skin. have now tried several other skins BlueMCE , BluBubbles and some others. after setting these in config the gbpvr application simply doesn't start up. going back to Blue in config it will then start. I have found one other skin that works and this is BlueMCE2
Am I missing somethig or is this a bug
I am using version 9413
When I select Videos from my menu I get a screen called Recordings. It lists my shows I have recorded on the left and on the right gives episode title. If I click on this, a new window pop's up. In this is the episode description, a picture of a television and 4 buttons on the bottom. Play, Archive, Delete and Cancel. I thought the poster or picture for the show was supposed to be pulled from the internet. I just have pictures of a tv. What am I doing wrong?
