  live tv frame
Posted by: djgietzen - 2005-10-25, 04:56 AM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

The frame for live tv has the max min and close buttons on it. as well as a title bar and icon. It would be supper if there was a way to hade that stuff.

reason is, my vid cards drivers are a littel off, and when I run gb-pvr in full screen mode it streatches the images beyong the edge of the tv screen. But if run in wondow mode maximized then I can adjust how far the image is streatched with the vid cards drivers

also, would be nice if there was an option for witch corner of the screen the channel change numbers apear in, becouse they are behind the quick guide on my system Sad

Theatrix 550 No Picture but sound, need help
Posted by: ncpmedic - 2005-10-25, 04:18 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I have the Sapphire Theatrix 550 set up. I got everything configured and used the tuning assistant. I was able to see the channel and everything. All that is fine. Now when I go to watch the live TV or anything, all I get is a black screen and I can hear the audio. Remote and everything else works. Any ideas on this?? Thanks!

  Video Archiver plugin request

Jeff, can you please change the "Cancel" to "Exit" on the popup screens?
Even with the confirmation of delete, and a Delete button right next to it, it still gives my wife a coniption fit, every time I hilight "Cancel"...
This would be the finishing touch on the WAF Big Grin

Recordings blank - rerun Wintv temp fixes
Posted by: ceejames - 2005-10-25, 01:26 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Problem I have is that it records nothing but blank screen. If I run Wintv and view live tv and it records in the next hour or so, everything is fine. But if I don't I get home and all that has recorded is blank screen. When I go to view LiveTV is gbpvr it is blank until I go back into Wintv which some how seems to reset it back to a working state?????

Hauppage 150 pci, really driving me up the wall any ideas, really like GBPVR because it works with the MediaVP, but may have to switch as recording seems to be bugged. Have tried tons of different configs, tried tricks with reseting some of the config options, but still seems to do the same thing.

Can a card crash, and if so why does WinTV seem to fix it, at least temporariily.

It seems that my EPG is not updating anything more than a day or so in advance. Can someone tell me how to correct this. i just updated via the cinfig program and I thought this would correct it, but it did not. I am in the United States.

  transcoding to WMV help
Posted by: jam_zhou - 2005-10-24, 10:27 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I can't seem to get gbpvrconvert.exe to convert. I've tried it manually but it gives me an error.

Maybe I don't have the wmv encoder codecs set up properly? What other things can I try?

Here's the log.

  What I have
Posted by: Manoe - 2005-10-24, 10:07 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (12)

P4 3.0 Prescott
1 gig OCZ pc3500
MSI Neo2 Mobo
maxtor 300 gb HD
Audigy Gamer Soundcard

I want to swap my main computer (above) for a 64 bit AMD system for my gaming and transfer the above into a smaller case for my Entertainment center. I may just end up using the processor, ram and harddrive in a small mATX case.

Can anyone tell me a good card to run with this GB PVR software that would allow me to use the HTPC as a Tivo and a DVD player? I am pretty sure that with the capture card the system should be almost complete. Any and ALL help is appreciated.

  Video Archiver - UNC Usage
Posted by: UncleJohnsBand - 2005-10-24, 10:05 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (3)

Jeff....I recently setup the remote GBPVR Network Client which requires you to change the Recordings setting in config.xml to use the UNC location rather than a mapped drive.

It appears that the space utility in Video Archiver does not like this. The stats in the Web Admin doesn't like it either but normanr is working on a fix for that.

Can VA be updated to handle UNC's as well as drive mappings?
